Airmanager changing this week...
Just noticed this on my favorite tool:
PLease OS, don't simplify this great tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember participating in a survey that lead to the change of the guest OS booking tool that is not so friendly to use for a seasoned flight booker. Hope they don't screw things up.
Dear AirManager User! We improve the AirManager for you! Therefore it's not possible to log in from Dec 13th, 6pm until Dec 17th, 12pm. Benefits will be a better and easier user interface and a new design. After the update it might be possible that your booking statistics are not available anymore. We kindly ask you to download all your last year's booking data by Dec 7th, 2006. For this, please see tab "My Bookings". For more information please call Austrian Airlines Group +43 (0)5 1766 4455 Mon-Fri 08:00-18:00 (CET) or send an e-mail to [email protected]. Your AirManager Internet Team

well, what they could improve would be going back and forth on the site.. it always needed 2 or 3 "back clicks" to get back to the last page... that was quite annoying.
Otherwise, only SMILING BOYS ideas underneath (which would actually also solve this going back and forward clicks issue), PLEASE!

- They should show more flights on one screen.
- They should show all available fares in the fare display.
- They should show the booking class next to a fare (avoids the mouse hovering).
- And I have the suspicion that they are the reason why my boarding passes always print M/M instead of SEN despite my SEN number being in the system. That should be fixed.

And I can log on again and - disaster...
You can't even book multileg anymore!
Just regular one-way and returns...
Now that's a great improvement!
What a joke.

p.s. it also seems the ~ 3k Euro Germany to Australia D fare is gone now, I would have loved to book that again for my second Australia trip in February next year..

Airmanager is active BUT ...
Hello!
It's just another version of the aua.com public booking screen... and my BUTs are:
can not book anymore by fare (in eco to JFK the lowest fare is in W or S class ... but what if I want to pay that 80 to 100 euro more to get 100% milage credit in V class)
can't make multi leg reservation - what if I want to have stop-over in VIE on the way to my destination?
plus I was not able to assign seating after confirming my reservation ...
I do not think it is improvement of any sorts!!!
Airmanager looks more in-line with general - public - aua.com web site in terms of graphics, etc. BUT many so well liked by users functionalities have been taked away.
I guess I will switch to my travel agent ... for add'l 30euro .agent fee that could have stayed with AUA.
What are your opinions?
Brds,
LN

OS has managed to destroy a perfectly nice booking tool to nada. Sad...
HRGonline.de is pretty good in terms of chossing flights and booking classes. They also allow you to book tickets on unpublished fares accessible only to TAs via Amadeus.
