Lounge Access Questions - does AC membership get me into other lounges?

I'm a new AC member

1. Does AC membership get one into other airport lounges?

Thanks.

Most of your questions can be answered at http://www.aa.com/content/travelInfo...Policies.jhtml

1. AC membership is only for ACs. Your PLT status is your 'key' to OW lounges. And yes it must be internationl thst day.

2. OW lounges may not be available based on the lounge/airline location and security at a particular location. Also, the hours may not be what you need. But yes IF the LY and BA leave from the same area (or BA Terraces is before security) you should be able to use it.

PLT CARD FOR BA LOUNGES IS A REQUIREMENT however. Th BA Lounge Dragons cannot (will not) look up your status in their computer. They will kick you out without the card or some other proof of tier (not 100% certain if printed page from aa.com will suffice as I always carry my card).

And the PLT status will garner Terraces admission only (not FIRST) if there are distict lounges.

As I believe the OP has discovered on his own, this is wrong. One is only entitled to lounge access if traveling on a OW flight.

I think having a "Lounge Access" sticky wouldn't be such a bad idea.....

You are aware that the AC membership guide says members are allowed access at BA (LGW) and QF lounges upon presentation of their membership card and boarding pass? You or I probably don't access it that way because of elite status, but for those without the status, the access is there with AC membership.

thanks. I was looking for it, but couldn't find it on aa.com. IMO They don't make it easy to find.

Cheers.

As well, at least for the time being, you should have access to Aer Lingus lounges when traveling on Aer Lingus or AA. Also, AA has promised Regus Network Access...but who knows when the credentials will be sent out?

Next best - this thread is now "tacked" to the "Unofficial Guide" sticky. Thanks for the suggestion.

Unless I missed it, we also need a link to the OW lounge access rules, too.
