I bribed the passenger in front of me to not recline his seat
I was sitting peacefully in my cramped Airline seat and suddenly and without warning the person in front of me reclined their seat all the way back right into my knees. I was angry and shocked. I was to tired for this. So I complained. After much discussion, he agreed to not recline his seat back if I gave him $20. After a few seconds I agreed. $10 now and $10 at the end of the flight. Both of us fulfilled our obligation in this transaction and I had a more comfortable flight but left the flight with a little less money.
This made me wonder, how about this?
Bring dollar bills, and if the kid behind you starts kicking your seat, bribe him with money to stop. Tell him that if he can keep from kicking your seat for the remainder of the flight, he’ll get $5. Works like a charm.

Why didn't you just grab the back of his seat and slam it forward?

I have often kicked the seat in front repeatedly when the reclining has been very intrusive.

Great Idea!
Although I'm sure the thread will descend into trolling and a flame-war, I think this is a great idea. I'd gladly pay $5 per hour for a non-reclined seat in front of me - Basically a 'tray table' rental fee.

With all the flying you do, why aren't you upgrading? Seems like all your flight problems occur in coach.

This person has done this before. He knows that if he slams his seat back, he'll tick off the person behind him enough to make some money for himself.

I consider seat kicking far more intrusive than reclining.
