SXB2 "Christmas Market" DO - Dec. 15-17 formerly known as 'lingerie' DO
Brought to you by chrissxb and essxjay.
We had a crack @:-) whilst strolling this most beautiful city over the Christmas holiday. ess was struck by how many lucious lingerie shops there are in Strasbourg as well the fact that all the great French department stores have outlets here, and that there are too many lovely eateries, boutique chocolatiers, wine shops, etc. etc. etc., to count.
"We should have a Do here!" she declared to chris. "There's something for everyone: scrumptious underthings for the ladies, and the boys can tag along to tote our purchases (with a preview surprise in every package!). What do you think?" Thusly, our scheme was hatched.
So ... herein we go public. We're thinking early to mid-December. Good fares are a certainty, great Xmas shopping ops and nearby excursions abound. Add the company of intrepid FTers and woot! you've got a Do!!
Comments, cheers, jeers?

O la la!
Are you sure that this thread is O.K. for an open forum? Is it possible to restrict access to ft'ers over 18?
And BTW: I'm in...

I'll have to keep my eye on this one...
... after all, what girl says no to lingerie and chocolates?!
(Sounds like it might be a good excuse for a last minute mileage run if the dates work out....)

This sounds so promising... The question is: how do I tell my wife... The concept of mileage runs is O.K. for her after some years now. But mixing it up with that kind of stuff may be a new burden for my future travel plans

Well we had an SXB DO just a few months ago, but why not? It's a fun city and the food is very special. Not to mention des Vins d'Alsace. See http://www.vinsalsace.com/fr/

maybe we'll choose a cheaper restaurant this time. my gastronomical DO for this year is LYS and next year TLS. ess did a great job announcing a DO in a city ... and who will organize all the stuff?
and for all guys: while the ladies are shopping we make a brewery tour at Schiltigheim !!!!

Hmm, I'm somehow still not convinced that this won't get me into some serious trouble. You know - it's not as straightforward as between men: you discuss a thing, have a short fight and then that's it. If there are women involved, it gets complicated and you just don't know when the hammer will drop out of the blue some time later on a completely different topic...
And chris: no beer, I would just prefer to be ess's personal shopping assistant...

its not that far for you. but unless you go via MUC you won't get any mileage for this trip. so telling her about mileage run is a definite no-go
