full fare C CMB-HNL USD474+tax (o/w, Asiana)

Found this great fare on travelocity. Any ideas how to get it ticketed? My travel agent tried CMB-(CX/CX)-BKK-(OZ/OZ)-SEL-(OZ/OZ)-TYO-(OZ/UA)-HNL few hours ago and did not succeed...

hey, that's a great find! I'm interested in the answer as well.

CMB-ICN portion might work like this?

Changi (SIN), Singapore, Singapore
Terminal 2 07:40
Non-stop
772 11h35min Daily
Asiana Airlines
OZSQ 6788 OP Changi (SIN), Singapore, Singapore
Terminal 2 09:05
Incheon Intl (ICN), Seoul, Korea Republic Of 16:20
Non-stop

Good luck getting this ticketed, and if you do pease let me know. OZ only flies to HNL as a codeshare on UA metal (OZ6603 and OZ6604, from memory). I was able to ticket this earlier in the year, but now the fare rules for this fare specifically exclude these codeshares, effectively rendering this fare unusable.

It works via BKK, HKG, ICN and SFO

It used to work using the codeshare via NRT on United, but the current rules show that you must use OZ metal over the Pacific. You can route CMB-BKK-HKG-ICN-SFO-HNL, which is 25% over the MPM, so the fare is US$701 with all the taxes paid. And it gets you about 12K miles (without bonuses.)

Rookies.

What a nasty looking PNR: S5 in Y and all.

Might I suggest that one consider S5 as the US equivalent booked in A?

1 TG 308C 02MAR TH CMBBKK SS1 245A 705A/O
2 TG 600C 02MAR TH BKKHKG SS1 800A 1145A/O
3 OZ 722C 02MAR TH HKGICN SS1 130P 545P/O

5*US6485A 02MAR TH SFOHNL SS1 430P 820P/O

FQT 59100 98.32 5.00 7.00 580.00 690.32 C

Alternatively, even tho we don't know what the OP's mileage goals are, perhaps he might want to overnite in SFO. It would appear that HA can be booked the following day in P:

1 TG 308C 02MAR TH CMBBKK SS1 245A 705A/O
2 TG 600C 02MAR TH BKKHKG SS1 800A 1145A/O
3 OZ 722C 02MAR TH HKGICN SS1 130P 545P/O
4 OZ 214C 02MAR TH ICNSFO SS1 740P 1250P/O
5 HA 11P 03MAR FR SFOHNL SS1 830A 1155A/O

FQT- 59100 108.52 5.00 7.00 580.00 700.50 C

Sometimes one has to think 'out of the box.'

Enjoy your upgrade on me 4free.

Cheers.

Can the same SFO-HNL backtracking be applied to other OZ HNL fares? Such as BKK-HNL?

just noticed that these fares appear to be bookable on expedia (uk) - never been interested in that other mega-long thread about ex-cmb...til now, as the GulfAir one sufficed for these purposes - my question is, any other destinations apart from HNL are good?

However, what would you say to US immigration when you get to SFO!! Having just flown from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong and Korea?

Not a great trip if you ask me.....

You wouldn't have to mention all of your layovers if you never entered those countries (ie, stamp in the passport). Mentioning that you transited BKK/HKG/ICN is voluntary.

They'll get over it. If you use the phrase "transit country" or say "I just transited countries XXX and YYY", should they even ask, you'll be fine.

Oh, please..... like this is really a big deal....unless you have something to really hide these are really not that interesting of places to have been too....even more so, if you are a US citizen, why would they care? its not like you listed Cuba and North Korea..... get over it.... they have much more interesting things to worry about...
