If anyone is interested, I managed to price out this MR for $276 all in...

LAX-MEM-IND-DTW-AMS-ZRH-AMS-DTW-YYZ-MKE-MSP-LAX

That's 14535 EQM.

Hence the question... do *I* become a NW flyer?

What are the chances AA will match? lol

I know. I thought about doing 3 trips. But told myself no. * Alliance only. I repeated that several times.
What are the chances of UA/LH matching?!

All dates using Travelocity for ORD-MAD seem gone now. Can you try another city to Madrid?

Nice fares, but it seems to be mostly on DC-10s across the Atlantic ....Isn't NW the last major airline still flying those oldies? No wonder fares are so low....I'm not surprised that they almost have to give the seats away on these old planes. If you want to go on a (KLM) 747 the price goes up about $500+.

Radical find dude!

Booked 4 tickets on a killer-slow internet connection 5:00-6:20 am ET

SFO-VCE (Venice) 110+ 202.55 all-in
SFO-MUC (Munich) was 770+ on nwa.com, but booked on travelocity.com 90+ 193.75 all-in (including $5 Travelocity fee). Thanksgiving in Germany! I've never been there...
SFO-ZRH (Zurich) 110+ 215.75 all-in

KLM-metal earns 100% EQM on Continental (all fare classes).
NW codeshares on KLM-metal earn EQM based on NW fare (not KLM fare).
With Platinum bonus, these flights earn about 26,000-27,000 miles.
About 0.7-0.8 cpm. Great weekend mileage runs.

CO and NW will match AA status (last I heard).

Mitchell

SFO-MIL (Milan) 115+
SFO-FCO (Rome) 110+ or 115+ (forgot which)

Couldn't get these cities to work from SFO.
SFO-SVO (Moscow) shows up $700-1,000+ on nwa.com on Travelocity.com
SFO-MAD was 600+

Actually, my outbound leg is on a KLM 763... return on a KLM MD11.
