AA Manifest Codes (consolidated)

I was snooping at the manifest on today's flight, and was curious. What does all this mean, on the manifest after my name and seat #?

R2 OB SC LF PT ET

I assume PT is Platinum, but the other stuff...? I saw some people have ADM (why does the FA need to know if you're an AC member?). What do the other codes mean?

I've had VIP next to my name on the manifest when upgrading with a VIP03. Don't know if that still applies with the new eVIPs, I'll ask next time I'm flying with my favourite purser.

R2 is code for a plat standby request. (Confirmed on a different flight)

OK, let's break it down:
R2 OB SC LF PT ET

R2 - He's on this flight, we R 2
OB - O B still and please don't make any requests of us
SC - This, and all pax, are considered Self-loading Cargo
LF - Prefers seating on the LeFt side of the aircraft
PT - This pax is Potty Trained
ET - He also appears Extra Terrestrial, may need to call home;
an alternate meaning is This passenger has Exit Trauma

Dang, I've learned things good on FT!

No, no..since American "knows why we fly" and knows so much about us, I thought the OB was just for females and means that they have been to an OBGYN in the last 12 months...

no offense to anyone...

I think you're closer - I think it actually means "this pax is pregnant." Hmm, not sure what happens when it appears on a guy's record. But no worries, if it happened in June, it's all going to the TSA anyway. Let's hope they can decode it... or not!

If we ate two desserts, upgraded too often or did mileage runs, we'll probably wind up on the "no fly" list, anyway.

This whole thread is pretty hilarious! I didn't get an answer, but I sure got a laugh.

Well, here ya' go....

R2 - Platinum standing by.

OB - Outbound (On 1st leg of a connection if I remember correctly. Might appear if you are not connecting... it's all such a fog now! )

SC - Classified.... ok.. not really. It's a leftover from the days of when you got asked the 2 goofy security questions. It was cheaper to leave it than to take it away.

LF - Lifted. A very "airliney" term...meaning your e-ticket was "lifted" when you boarded.

PT - Can't remember (I think you may be correct that this is Platinum...but for some reason I want to think it's something else...memory has gone foggy...ha)

ET - Electronic Ticket

ADM - Admirals Club member

More unsolicited info...

Some standby codes that you might like to know.....

UPG1 - EXP standing by for an upgrade
UPG2 - PLT
UPG3 - GLD
UPG - Anyone else standing by for an upgrade.

For those using VIPs....there was a VIP code created. Can't remember where it sits on the list though.

For those confirmed later, but standing by for an earlier flight:

R1 - EXP
R2 - PLT
R3 - GLD
R - Non elites but with full fare tix
DRX - Everybody else on any other fare

Other codes that might be useful to you at some point.....(all of which have the same "numbering system" based on elite status.

DSR - pax desires accomodation in opposite cabin.

DG - downgrade from higher cabin.

OS - oversale

FTR - Flat Tire Rule....(I swear I'm not making this up) You miss your flight and are now on standby, this is the code you get. Not sure if it has the elite numbering system or not.... as I told my folks not to use this for elites...use their appropriate standby code instead....R1, 2 etc. So I've never seen an FTR1 on the list.

That's about all that I can think of that might be useful info for an average flyer on AA. Sorry for taking up space for unsolicited info, but I'm feeling wordy this morning.

I thought DSR was the code for desires seat reaccomodation which could mean both a different cabin and just general seat reassignment -- coming from the old days when they would collect the left at the gate and then sort the paper tickets into piles of F Y and those needing seat reassignements to sit with tehir party, etc...

But I too can't remember all the AA Sabre codes...

Ya' know, I guess you could use it for that. But I think the sabre definition for this code when I left was desires accomodation in opposite cabin, or another cabin. Something to that affect. I'll have to have someone look for me next time I fly out.

Didn't know this and haven't read it anywhere. This is certainly another benefit of elite status. And I may have to use it in a few weeks...
