Best Cheap Way to Send Package USA to Chile?

La Cochinita and I want to send a small gift of kitchen gadgets to the family we stayed with in Santiago, Chile. I'm guessing it would weigh no more than 3 pounds and cost under fifty dollars.

Any advice about shipping such a package to Chile would be appreciated - in particular would the folks there have any problems getting the items (i.e. pay duty or whatever)?
