Now Malaysia Airlines is apparently going to go the way of ONE WORLD!

KLM's merger discussions with BA & NWA has had talks with AA. Qantas and BA have been concerned over the impact of Star Alliance’s Singapore Airlines’ new equity links with Air New Zealand and Ansett and they have been wooing MH for quite awhile now.

Qantas is rumored to be buying a stake in MH.

British Airways has held talks with Northwest Airlines on cooperation as part of the U.K. carrier's proposed merger with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.

Among the options British Airways has examined is a full alliance partnership with Northwest, which could mean an end to its stalled alliance with AMR Corp.'s American Airlines, according to a person familiar with the talks.

"British Airways would massively complicate the process of trying to obtain antitrust immunity if it tried to do anything else [with KLM] at the same time," Mr. Wild said.

Provided I like KLM's transatlantic anyday compared to NW, I would really like to see these two alliances merge. Can't agree on a name, what about One Wings or World of Wings, I think I better stop...
