747 Upper Deck Vents

Greetings all..
I posted my question in th Club World Seating forum but with no answer..
I do believe that there is a overhead air VENT in row 63 on the UD on the 747.. Does anyone know that if you chose to sit in 64J will U feel the blowing air from 63J?
Thanks

There are no air vents in the cabin on any BA B744.

My apologies.. I stand correct as there are no individual air vents. I believe that there is at at least one air vent in the aisle.

The doors are a bit leaky though, so if you're in one the of the 4 proximate seats, it's almost as good as having an airvent.

I was very impressed by the airvents on LATAM's 787s, I know there are good reasons for not having them, but where possible I would hope BA would put them in (at least in CW!).

What's the good reason? I've always hated planes without individual vents.

A point to add to the list of things to consider when reading the 'best seats' thread

And equally on AA's 77W. Very handy way to stay cool in a warmer cabin.

Just guesses on my part

1) yet another thing that can break and cause an issue
2) more expensive - either in initial cost or weight

Also they increase noise.

Also, the cabin ceiling on wide body jets is so much higher that it's not as easy to sit in your seat and operate a punkah louvre as it is on a narrowbody. Next time you're sat in your seat on a widebody try reaching up and touching the roof - especially impossible in the middle section of seats!

On a BE Embraer today there was a gale forcing its way through the vents and even when they were shut some was leaking out. It the flow of air through these devices controlled beyond on/off?

I have always thought BA tends to run cabin temps high on purpose to get passengers to be less active.
