The little bump in the flight path?

Could have been avoiding a bit of weather
or
the flight path data is unreliable during the long overwater sections -- that is the cause of the glitchy data. very common.

Hope everybody was buckled up when the Captain turned hard right while slamming on the brakes to do that 180 :-)

Yeah, looks like the display algo was caught between showing the default straight line when no known data was available, and some flaky data on a path a bit SE. So it switched back and forth a few times.

I was on 870 yesterday. It was in fact a little bumpy in stretches.
More importantly, will the passengers get credit for the extra mileage? :-)

I tried that once but the answer was "we did not charge you extra for the extra flying so let's call it even"
