There is a current Amex Offers promotion that most Amex members have which is 20k bonus MR points with $1k purchase on AF. At current TPG MR valuation ($0.019/MR pt), that's an additional $380 of value. Check your Amex offers to activate for your card.

BTW, one minor benefit is that on some dates, you can get 28 hr layover in Paris, which is a great little stopover. Looks to be for Mon, Wed and Fri departures from YUL.

Appears to work for YVR as well at a small premium on a limited number of 2018 dates I tested.

Beware of the fact that PE on Air France is getting reviews along the lines of "I changed the return ticket to a basic economy because the seat is more comfortable there".
