"New" B Terminal Sky Club at ATL

My apologies, I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere, but I couldn't find it easily using the search tool: the "New" Sky Club in the center of the B terminal in ATL (circa sometime last fall) - I loathe this place. I find it loud, busy, difficult to access (up a flight then a long walk down another corridor), it is a monstrosity once one is inside, and the bathrooms are far away (really just because the place is so huge). I recently got some promotional thing from Delta touting Sky Club as a peaceful sanctuary or some such nonsense. I'm not sure why anyone would go in here...it doesn't feel any different to me than the terminal itself.
In any event, I'm curious what others think about this. Also, if you share my opinion do you have an alternative or solution? I've never done it before, but I am thinking of renting one of those little spa rooms if I have a longer layover.

I thought the tarmac views were cool if you can grab a window seat, but will still spend the extra 10 minutes to get to the F skyclub.

It is a pretty busy place. very hard to find a seat during busy hours.
I complained last time because they don't carry Sweet Tea, I mean we are in the South after all.

I was never a fan of sweetened iced tea. But, then again I barely drink tea and never iced tea.

How is the lounge when it isn't prime time (i.e. Saturday night)?

Tea + sugar + stir = sweet tea.

Tea + lots of sugar + stir = southern sweet tea.

There's an extensive thread about ATL B SC. Lots of issues is the consensus.

I think my favorite club in ATL right now is D12 (the former Continental President's Club). Really great staff and generally underused.

I guess I had low expectations for this club as it is better than the old B club that was upstairs that now has chains on its doors.

Terminal B is just so dang crowded all the time in general.
Been in the B club a few times and it is swamped with people when I have been there.

Not really. Real Sweet Tea has the sugar added while the tea is hot so it dissolves. In cold tea, that sugar doesn't dissolve well at all. At any rate, I prefer unsweetened (normal in most places) iced tea myself.

I agree. they offered me unsweet out of a gallon of some brand and said, you can add sugar. Noooo way, that prepackaged stuff is nasty.
I remember that at some point they would brew it right on site and have it ready for customers.
