will i earn points if i book a room for someone else using cash and points?

If i use cash/points and put the room in another person name will I earn points for that room? Do you think I would earn bonus points also. The promition stay more/earn more?

I did two c+p bookings for my in-laws. For the first one, I got points and night/stay credit. For the other, nothing.
When points posted, it triggered the promotion points too.

Does a C+P stay count ?
Let me ask this question then..

Does a stay using Cash & Points count as a qualifying stay towards status?

I'm only 2 stays toward requalifying Gold ..

Yes, cash and point stays and nights qualifies for both status and promos. With the booking bonus it's often a good alternative to redemptions.
