Qatar Airways versus Sri Lankan Airlines?

I'm going to be on a DXB-MLE and MLE-DEL flight later this summer, and I plan on buying business class tix for these flights. Does anyone have any thoughts of which airline is better, and which connection point is better (CMB versus DOH)?

Emirates has a nonstop on DXB-MLE, but it is quite expensive compared to the Qatar and Sri Lankan flights. Does anyone think that EK is that much better than Qatar or Sri Lankan to justify the difference (or that avoiding a connection in CMB or DOH is worth the price difference)?

IMHO Qatar Airways flight to MLE is better than EK. Connecting in DOH is great because of their superior business and first class lounges.
