I have now created a wiki post at the top of this thread so that JALPak and any other interested parties can edit the details and summarise for all.

I have also unstuck this thread, as I don't believe that the information in this thread is a FAQ and something that needs to be highlighted to all visitors to this forum.

I had previously suggested this. There's really no point of having a new thread for each month's surcharge. It could all be summarized into one post at the top, and any links/discussion could follow into the thread.

It would even be easier for visitors if the first post is something along the lines of:

September 2013
Short haul: HKD200 -> HKD217
Long haul: HKD859 -> HKD897

October 2013

So it's nice and easy to compare each month's $$ figure without having to additionally open another link to respective thread / govt website.

having handled the credit card post i can tell its pretty annoying. at least there's only 2 figures to handle here that you know would come up every month

Not sure what the 2011 data was, but this has to be the lowest in the past few years. Even lower than June 2013's $200/$859

hmm... any updates on the CX fuel surcharge? I feel that it is dropping quite a lot from the historical high....
