New oneworld itinerary validator
I've released a new version of the oneworld itinerary validator, v0.6
Only slight changes.. Added support for calculating old/new QF Status Credit, and BA Tier Credit earning (thanks Mike!). Also now the tool will display a visual map of the segments from gc.kls2.com. Added MAD-SVO flight, but need to regenerate the flight list for other segments.

It is at: jph.bytestacker.com/award.htm

Current version is at http://www.slfft.org/

Updated once again.. v0.7
Changed the layout a bit, and added some performance improvements for the validator engine.
Also added MAD-BEY
One new neat feature in the OWE planner.. you can now list all flights > X miles from a city, or all flights in a range of miles.
Enter: 1000 in From box, SYD in To: box, will show all flights > 1000 miles to Sydney. Likewise, SYD in From: box and 1000 in To: box will show all flights < 1000 miles from Sydney. (ok, a little odd)
You can also see all flights within a range. Enter values in From and/or To box.
eg. All flights > 8000 miles From:8000 To:<blank>
All flights between From:4800 and To:5200
All flights less than From:blank To: 100

p.s. I think the distance GIG-SCL, shown as 2332, is off by quite a bit.

My most desired enhancement request:
Right now you can specify airport-airport or airport-country.
I would like to be able to specify airport-continent
OR continent-continent
OR country-continent
For example jfk-1 or 1-2

New release
New update.
Some more layout changes.
The major change is to the OWE planner.. you can now filter by from/to and gt/lt mileage. It will also filter by continent.
Use: ~nam|~sam|~eur|~afr|~asa|~swp in From/To fields to specify North America, South America, etc.. Note you should really specify two continents, or a continent and a country, otherwise the search may take quite awhile (eg. Don't put in ~nam only unless you want to wait!)
So now you can show all flights from north america to europe that are > 5000 miles..
GT: 5000
LT: blank
From: ~nam
To: ~eur
I have also updated the valid flight database with the latest oneworld schedules. As always, it will still be a good idea to verify your route with the latest schedules. The tool also makes an attempt to determine the maximum fare class supported on a route (based on aircraft type). So if First/Biz is not available on a route it will be grayed out.

Topping this because I was playing with the itinerary validator (which is, IMO, a spectacular and useful device) and found a glitch.
In invalidates PER-MEL or v.v when there's a true transcon in Oz (SYD-PER etc.)
The prohibited city pairs for >1 transcon are PER-BNE/CNS/SYD, not MEL.
A small potato.

While it's up top, I have found another glitch - there was a change recently that allowed you to travel again domestically via point of origin
eg. MEL-SYD....NA/EU/AS...-PER-MEL-SYD
(Change talked about in this thread )
Just put my trip in which is about to be ticketed and got a validation error for going back to HBA:
1: HBA-SYD: 1st of 4 (Southwest Pacific)
2: SYD-HNL: intercontinental
3: HNL-DFW: 1st of 6 (North America)
4: DFW-MIA: 2nd of 6 (North America)
5: MIA-PTY: 3rd of 6 (North America)
6: CUU-DFW: 4th of 6 (North America)
7: DFW-YVR: 5th of 6 (North America)
8: YVR-JFK: 1st of 1 (North America Transcon)
*8: YVR-JFK: 6th of 6 (North America)
9: JFK-SNN: intercontinental
10: LGW-DBV: 1st of 4 (Europe)
11: SVO-HEL: 2nd of 4 (Europe)
12: HEL-RHO: 3rd of 4 (Europe)
13: WAW-HEL: 4th of 4 (Europe)
14: HEL-NRT: intercontinental
15: NRT-HKG: 1st of 4 (Asia)
16: HKG-CEB: 2nd of 4 (Asia)
17: CEB-HKG: 3rd of 4 (Asia)
18: HKG-SYD: intercontinental
19: SYD-HBA: 2nd of 4 (Southwest Pacific)
Rule violated!!!! [HBA-MEL] Max 1 segment(s): Travel via original point of origin not permitted

Wonderfully helpful, hauteboy. Many thanks for all your hard work.
One tiny thing: using a Mac and Safari, Apple's browser bundled with OSX, it's not possibe to choose any tier point calculator other than Qantas, e.g. clicking on the BA radio button results in BOTH the Qantas and BA buttons being chosen simultaneously (something which should be impossible) and QF tier pts still being shown.
Otherwise it works perfectly.

This thread should be used for discussions about the OWE validator. It more accurately reflects the provenance of the tool and the thread subject is more meaningful. This post is linked to from the 0.95007 & later versions of the tool for easy reference.
If you have feedback for this tool, e.g. something it isn't doing right etc., please post it into this thread. By all means reference another thread from this one; note that this thread is the only one I regularly check so comments elsewhere are likely to be missed by me.
The most current version of MileageMonkey can be found here.
For information on what has happened to this tool between previous posts in this thread and now, please refer to this thread.

Thanks. This utility is great ^
I've been checking the miles required for BA oneworld awards and noticed that sometimes the miles required for business class are shown as 2x economy and for first class 3x economy
e.g. GRU-SFO-EDI
Econ 90, Biz 180, First 270
Whereas on other routes business class is shown as 3x economy and first class 4x economy
e.g. GRU-NYC-EDI
Econ 60, Biz 180, First 240
Is this correct or is there a glitch in the utility?
I've tried searching (britishairways.com, Google and FlyerTalk) for the rules on mileage required for businees / first class cabins on BA oneworld awards but without success.
