20 segments in 39 hours!

Just finished 10 RT DAL-AUS in the past 39 hours and am feeling a little nauseous. Did it to bump status to EXP. Just wondering if anyone else has done that and hoping that EXP is a big jump in benefits versus Plat.

In case our grammarian is not paying attention, I will point out that I suspect you feel a little nauseated, not nauseous.

Were you at least able to avoid the RJs?

Huge bump in bennies, HUGE.

You are mad.

Save your BPs and ticket numbers. The AA system does not do a good job of automatically posting large numbers of flights taken on the same day (more than 4 than include the same city pairs cause problems).

I think you're going to have to spend some time on the phone to get everyting to post properly. Having the ticket numbers handy will make things a lot smoother for everyone involved.

congratulations... very impressive.

How many books did you go through??

Question though... you put yourself through the misery of 20 segments in 1.5 days WITHOUT researching the benefits of EXP???

I made EXP yesterday on an easy SAT-DFW-MTY flight.. which reminds me... I need to update my profile...

Congratulations!
Holy crap, that's intense. Hard to say how much more intense it is than some of the international turnaournd MR's being bounced around these days...cough...cough...

Yeah, the EXP bene's are HUGE.

Hopefully, you had an AAdmirals Club membership, or at least bought a one-day pass...the Austin A/C staff are some of the best, and they have a slightly better selection of drinks & snacks on hand, and are very "tuned in" to the whole mileage running thing.

I'd be shocked if the OP had any time to spend in the AC during this 39-hour run.

So, in 195 hours you can get 100 segments for EXP

Wowee. Any interesting comments from the FA's / GA's / FAM's?

If anyone actually did 100 segments solely to gaing EXP status, they would effectively be buying EXP, the thought of which seems to drive some people on this board into siezures.

How much would 50 RT DAL-AUS cost, anyway?

unfortunately all RJs

Did it DAL-AUS so I wouldn't have to worry about misconnects as the plane essentially turns in AUS (one equipment change mid-day)

Yes I have researched the benefits but sometimes the collective wisdom of FT seems to suggest that upgrades for EXP are dwindling, EVIPs not being able to be used etc.

A lot more currently than doing 25 TPA/MIA/RDU/MIA/TPA which was between $76 and $96 for a good portion of 2006 or TPA/MIA/ORD/MIA/TPA
which currently runs about $88
EXP for about $2300.00

$2,300 is fine. Doubt that this can be done out of NYC though.
