Please read this Wiki before posting questions in the thread.

What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.

Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).
What are the best current Ink Plus offers?

The Ink Plus card is no longer available for new applicants. There is a separate thread for The Ink Business Preferred card.

Links for non-targeted Ink Plus 60K offer ($5,000 spend/3 months; annual $95 fee not waived)
There is a report of a 70k offer for the Chase Ink Plus available only through your local Chase Bank office, extended to August 20, 2016. If you recently accepted the 60K offer, you may be able to get the extra 10K simply by asking for it.

There is a no-fee, UR-earning Ink Cash card: https://creditcards.chase.com/ink-bu.../ink-cash-card
Are there are any rules or restrictions to keep in mind when applying for an Ink card?
What is the "5/24" policy?
Are targeted offers exempt from the 5/24 policy?
If my application isn't approved instantly, should I call in?
How can I determine the deadline for meeting the spend requirement to earn the signup bonus?
Once I meet the card's spend requirement, how soon will I receive my signup bonus points?
After being denied, how long should I wait before applying again for the same card?
How long should I wait after closing my card before applying again for the same card?

See the wiki & current discussion at Applying for Chase Credit Cards, 2017 onward.
Are there special earning categories?
Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)

In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.

NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

Closing Ink Plus cards
It is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

So I had a quick question.

Hypothetical: I get approved for the Ink Plus but have to move 5k from my personal line. After one year, I dont plan on keeping it and decide to close it out. Can I move the 5k back to my personal line ?

I highly doubt it.

Chase Ink--approval standards?

Two questions:

Do the same rules apply apply to Chase Ink as to the consumer versions of Chase's Ultimate Rewards cards? (Application will be denied if you have acquired more than 4 or 5 credit cards within the past 2 years.)

What sort of business do you need to have in order to be approved for Chase Ink? (Used to be anything would work, but more recently, it seemed they were starting to requires a bona fide business.)

Thanks!

There is ongoing debate on this question in http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/chase...solidated.html. No clear trend has emerged IMO as to whether the 5/24 rule applies to business cards.

i applied for an ink and it was declined. right after i applied for united and IHG cards and got approved (personal cards).

i do belive the same 5/24 rules applies, although i remember that the "business is too new" and "low reported income" were also considered reasons

I applied for an Ink Plus today and got this message:

Thanks for Applying. Please call us as soon as possible at 1-800-243-6010 Mon-Fri 8am to 10pm EST to discuss your application with a Customer Support Specialist. We look forward to speaking with you.
I do not have a business, just did sole proprietor with $1 business income. Should I call or wait it out? I know with some messages, if you call, they might just verify some basic information, and with others, you play 20 questions with recon.

You do not have a business and you applied for a business credit card. What do you think your odds are?

I'm sure half the people here with business cards don't have an actual business. It's a well known that it's possible to get a Chase Ink without an actual business, even if the odds aren't good, they're not zero.

Yes, but if they're not instantly approved they have to figure that they are not going to get the card unless they're comfortable fabricating a business when calling recon.

I have heard this from other people as well that they managed to get business cards with chase in spite of the 5/24 rule.

Going for ink plus if you already have ink bold

Has anyone who has the ink bold applied for the ink plus after the changes were made to the ink bold? I'd be interested in knowing the results, since it seems like it would be difficult to get a second ink card now that both card are basically the same.

Ink Bold turned into a Credit Card as of 08/31/2015. Possible to transfer creditline?

It looks like the Ink Bold has been turned into a Credit Card instead of a Charge Card. Personally I was given a $12,000 credit limit.

More info: http://travelwithgrant.boardingarea....advance-limit/

I wonder if it is now possible to transfer this credit line to my Ink Plus or Ink Cash, as I had been planning to cancel the Ink Bold in a couple of months?
