Probably not the calliber of resturaunt you're looking for but I've always enjoyed Chopotle for a quick meal on the go. They have a location on 9th Ave amongst other Mid-Town locations.
I assume you mean Chipotle - the McDonalds of Mexican fast food (they were ownd by McD's for a while with
full divestment in 2006). If that's really what you're going for there is one at ~44th & Lex, which is actually in the neighborhood; 9th avenue is a solid 20-30 minute walk from the Waldorf.
I've been to
Caffe Linda a couple of times with my parents when they are in town. It is a pretty small place - maybe 30ish seats - and the food is pretty good. Definitely in the right neighborhood and a good option if you're looking for Italian.
