Now to kick the family history research back into gear. Besides the two known distinguish elders who were provided some relocation assistance to Hobart at the expense of the British crown, I also had a great-great grandfather born in Tasmania, illiterate (signed his name w/ an X) and who gave his occupation as a "squatter" when he surfaced in Young in the 1870's. So I probably have at least 2 more English crooks in my ancestry and possible as many as 6.
I am looking forward to driving once again on the wrong side of the road and keeping an eye out for "All Day Brekkie" signs.
