What car agency partner w/ Sheraton ?

I received a letter from National car rental
that they will no longer give out Sheraton
point starting 1/31/99 :-(

So what car rental agency has partnership
with Sheraton ???

That may be because the Sheraton program is being replaced by a new program. I do not know what car partnerships the new program will be having.

when I joined SCI and still in 1997 AVIS rentals were eligible for 500 SCI points (as AVIS did with airline-programs at that time).

But probably (I don't really know) this might have changed in 98 (as with airline-programs) to may be 50 points per day?

I received an email reply from Sheraton that their new car partner will be Avis starting 2/1/99. However they did not state the number of points offered.

Kudos to Sheraton for promptly replying emails.

Hotel points have seem to be less affected during the recent cuts by rental car companies. For instance, Avis still offers 300 GP points from Hyatt, and you can still get 1000 Marriott Rewards Points from Hertz. I think one of two reasons are possibly responsible for this:

1) Less people take hotel points, so the rental car companies haven't worried about them yet.

2) It appears that the 7.5% tax that is now applied to ff miles is not applied to hotel miles.
