Lot's good thoughts here. Japan is in a sweet spot as well-- the yen has been shredded, but prices have barely budged (i.e. minimal inflation). Australia is at a similar discount as Euro countries....

I am in the same situation. Part of it depends on your age. I'm 31, so hitting LT platinum in my late 40's or 50's leaves plenty of time to use the status. At the same time it's not even on my radar....

Turns out this was a harbinger devaluation. Dynamic awards, while based loosely on ticket prices, were always a discount to AAnytime awards. Good work Dougie, loophole closed!
