Gnf. This is a part of the conspiracy to make it impossible to earn Eurobonus points out of LPI.

And I had these great redemption plans. I hope it will continue to be possible to redeem EB points on non-codeshare BT flights sufficiently long for me to realize my plans...

Slightly off topic soon in the SAS EuroBonus threads...

Signed up for the BalticMiles, since BT services my home town. Just three days a week, but still at reasonable times and with very good connections. The Fokker leaves KUO at 06:45 via TMP to RIX and returns around 22.

Booked a return near X-mas to Barcelona for €800 in J (actually D - full flexibility, full refund), which I find a good deal.

Their web reservation is fun with all the pushing - e.g. pay €13 per leg and if the plane is 60+ minutes late from the promised, receive a voucher of €450 for future flying needs. Hotel reservations and car rentals also work effortlessly.

A low cost airline with business class is a concept of its own!

Some of the RIX-TMP-KUO rotations are now flown with 737s as well.

It looks BT announced their BalticMiles in a real hurry. Earning and spending charts has been updated from initial version, now business class earns 300% points. Wondering if it is their final word

Yeah, but what the heck can you do with all those points?

OT: But was really impressed by the BT c-service the other day. Did ARN-RIX on the old B735. But they have installed the LH-style convertible seats and pitch was the best I have seen intra Europe. Flight time is only 55 minutes, but they served pre departure drinks (!), warm breakfast (omelette, fried potatoes, fried tomato). Had a selection of three different teas to choose from and handed out pre landing chocolates. All with a smile.
Also, SAS is now handling CI again at ARN.

And, to get on topic again, flight still posted as 1500 EB basic points (including COS and elite bonus).

I'm very often flying BT in C and they always doing a good job there, very consistent. Sometimes you can stuck in 737 with old (non-convertible) seats which they (from my observation) tend to use more to the leasure destinations, but still sometimes on prime routes as well.
They used to do morning RIX-ARN on 757 and seat pitch in C is even better there but now it is not so often.

Around 10 flights on BT so far in September, all posted to EB no problem.

Really? I've had constant trouble for flights not posting. I'm still missing 3 flights from July, and maybe ten or so from the last year - but haven't really bothered to chase these as they are mostly short hops with 150 or 75 points which just isn't worth the hassle. One flight from July posted over a month later.

It seems to be connected to new routes - I tend to fly the new BT routes very soon after they are announced and probably the EB system hasn't been updated to cope with the new destinations. The established HEL-RIX etc. flights always post promptly.

Probably I'm flying mostly "old" routes but my BT flights are posted to EB within 5 days max. Yesterday I've got my Monday flight posted, Friday flight was posted on Tuesday, that's about average how long it takes. Not sure if it makes any difference but 90% of the flights I'm using OLCI and specifiying EB number there.

Doesn't matter, is my experience. And besides there's still no OLCI ex-HEL, which sucks big time. Especially with the incompetent SGS ground handling and the "new" T1 where the check in facilities are seriously lacking. Oh how I'm looking forward to my 5.25 AM departure tomorrow morning with no OLCI to allow me some more of that precious substance known as sleep...

If you're Baltic based, that's a valid option for sure. But already ex-HEL *A or OW points/miles offer much more usage if you look at flights only. If you consider the other options (hotels, car rentals, etc) the gap is even wider.

Also ex-HEL they fly those tiny planes (I had the pleasure to fly VNO-RIX-HEL on the same bird YL-BAR yesterday) that I prefer to avoid if only I can. Yeah, I flew OV on even tinier Saabs the day before but there the A seats are single seats

(OT

OV ticket in HEL - no entry to SAS lounge with LH SEN card "not a *A carrier", no entry to AY lounge with AY G card "not an OW carrier"*

BT ticket in RIX - welcome! to the BT lounge with AY G card Same thing last spring at RIX 2/2 = 100% score )

*I was under the impression that AY G's are always welcome at home lounges)

Agree, those old Fokkers are not fancy, especially when you flying them some 4+ times a week. It looks I've just bought the very last ticket for one of tonight flights on BT F50, I just love it when it comes to 100% load factor and no chance to have a free seat next to you.
OV (and all other) Saabs are worse on seat pitch and tiny overhead bins, even single seat not improves this too much.

We all here on FT agree BT departure from EB is not a change for a better but what we can do? Surely you can fly BT and not use miles at all Mr. Flick will be happy

UPDATE
Sitting in RIX lounge and just had a chat with lady at the entrance there (cannot use usual expression "lounge dragon", they are quite nice and friendly in RIX), she said on selected routes (SK codeshares I presume?) points will be still credited to EB. And even better news - EBG will still get lounge access in RIX when flying BT.
