New BT programm is now announced in their in-flight magazine September edition. However not much info there at all, less than on internet. It says also that details of future co-operation with EB will be announced in October, same time it says something like "in order to get most out of BT flights join BalticMiles" which gives (me) a hint that EB will not disapear completely.
I guess we will be able to still earn EB points on selected routes in codeshare with SK; probably ARN and CPH only.
Hopefully they will keep the system with awarding full fare EB miles on award tickets as well
Called local EB today. The say there certainly will be no status match to BalticMiles Executive (Silver) or VIP (Gold). Thy say there are ongoing discussions with SAS EuroBonus. Maybe they will grant baggage allowance and lounge access to EBGs flying on BT. Current contract is until the end of October.
Probably they will not do it publically and not for all EBG but I'm sure there will be some status match deals on case by case basis. There is a considerable number of FF who making EBG and even double EBG on BT metal alone and it is virtually impossible that BT will leave them all on a cold for quite some time until they make BalticMiles VIP.
p.s. it really looks like BT was forced out from EB. Very late announcement, long processing time for applications, lack of details, important parts "to be announced later" etc
It feels like BT is going to split off Eurobonus relatively soon. At the C checkin noticed couple of new booklets. One of them is called "Join airBaltic's new loyalty programme BalticMiles" (with extra "me" at the end of the word "program").
FWIW, the correct spelling of the word using British English is with the extra "me" - i.e. programme. The Americans shorten it to "program".

If you do some travel in business, it is quite good redemptions for upgrades. Travel three trips in Business, use the earned points to upgrade the fourth one (Scandinavia, Finland and Baltics, every 4.5 to fifth for other legs).
Is there actual business class between RIX and Scandinavia on Fokkers? Between Baltics I have impression there's no C service at all.
There's a decent hot food and champagne service in C even on uncomfortable Fokker 50. Not all RIX-Nordics flights are Fokker 50. Quite a few morning and evening flights are 737, sometimes even 757.
Intra-Baltics C-class doesn't matter if it is 737 or F50 is one class service, C gets more newspapers and magazines (sometimes) that's it. First several rows on F50 have slightly better seat pitch, but anyway I never seen more than 3 rows of C on intra-Baltic Fokker flight, rows 4 and 5 still OK on seatpitch.
RIX-ARN on Fokker there is a C-class service with meal and booze.
p.s. VNO-TLL vv actually had C-service with hot meal and drinks until this June or so.
