WilcoRoger, that's was exactly my thoughts about compartion to Icelanair! Pretty much the same story - isolated FF program. And, still, what other choise have those who based in Reykjavik? For TLL Finnair is a reasonable alternative but not for RIX/VNO.
Toli, there is a limit of how far you can go in making the point of not flying on certain airline. LH & Co are ok for those who travel to central, western and southern Europe but for Scandinavia there is no other choise. Whatever G status not worth it if you need to spend twice more time and money on the same travel. BT has a pretty much the same product like SK, I don't have any problems to fly with them, at least as long as they maintain decent C-class service.
If you are EBG/EBP and/or travelling in biz BT is not bad. Only downside is the ARN checkin which is not handled by SGS anymore. The RIX lounge is bearable. My other 1h-travel typically features small airports without lounges etc...
What could possibly be the reason for BT splitting with EuroBonus? Could be that SAS doesn´t want them onboard forcing them to act... Guess OneWorld would be happy to accomodate BT.

I guess BT is too small to become a full member in any alliance?

If SAS feels that BT takes pax away from Scandinavia and does bring little from VNO and RIX, then maybe. What remains to be seen is whether BT cost-level is really so low, current ticket prices are enough and last year's loss was coincidence.
One of the possible scenarios EB points will still be credited but only on certain BT flights (SK codeshares) to Scandinavia and only when booked via SAS, also maybe it will be only extra points like on Cimber or Skyways. I don't think SK will leave Baltic destinations outside EB completely.
Just booked another flight on BT on their website and the field where you could enter your EB number is now gone. Looks like they are definitely parting ways with EB.
I was also offered to join the new FFP, which I did, apparently they will mail me my membership card... I'll post further information when I get some.
Oh, there was no field for any FFP number, not even their own yet.

I have two BT flights coming up, I hope they'll still post, I need those points for a round 10k for hotel redemption
Today, EB is just a terciary FFP for me, to pick up the odd bits and pieces (OV & BT flights, using their co-branded EC where Amex is not accepted, etc) to get a few free hotel nights.
If BT leaves the EB fold, it will become a very-very fringe airline for me. Probably I'll avoid them just as I avoid Skyteam carriers.

Yes, it looks like they have updated their homepage with info about the new program now. It will start on October 1st:
This is quite troubling. I've moved most of my intra-Europe flying from OV to BT, since BT has been offering better pricing and frequencies than OV (which seems to be flailing around and never can come up with a strategy). However, one of the big draws of moving my flying to BT was that I still earned EB miles and it counted towards achieving EBG status this year. I fly to the US and Asia every year also, but that flying in itself usually isn't enough to achieve EBG (thanks to the 25% earning rule) -- the intra-Europe pushes me over the threshhold.
At the same time, BT has been making a big push into Estonia to steal business away from OV. They've been expanding frequencies from TLL and I've seen lots of marketing efforts also. I suppose they are targeting the occasional flyer (who doesn't care about FF programs and earnings) and not the frequent flyer, if they are leaving EB.
Anyone know the name of the head of BT for Estonia? I'll write a letter to them expressing my dissatisfaction, though I doubt it'll do anything.

Thanks Gnopps, those are interesting pages.
I guess this is what's most important to most people in this forum:

How long can I earn and redeem Eurobonus points on airBaltic Flights?
Starting from 31st October, the cooperation between airBaltic and EuroBonus programme are about to change, more details will come soon. Members may still earn and redeem points on selected airBaltic and SAS flights. Any EuroBonus points earned may still be spent on EuroBonus offers, other EuroBonus partners and on airBaltic flights until 31st October.
The "selected flights" part probably hints to the SK codeshares which should continue earning EB points, not sure about basic points though.
Thanks. For some reason I didn't see that when I looked on their site. Must be the fatigue from last night's trip (TK DEL-IST-HEL, got an op-up to C on the DEL-IST leg; TK *G lounge in IST is very nice).
Upon further reflection, I think I'll write to the head of Air Baltic overall (Bertolt Flick). Based on their web pages regarding this posted earlier in this thread, it seems like the program isn't totally finalized so maybe there's still a chance to make a difference. I assume the Estonian area manager is just the usual yes-man (err.. yes-woman) and all decisions are made in Riga.
I think it would be reasonable to ask BT to do status match to start with. A very healthy portion of my EBG is BT full fare C/D/Y/B flights, haven't checked specifically but I think my BT travel alone is enough to make EBG.
Anyone willing to join in promoting this idea to BT?
BT management has been one of not too many to understand well a traveller's psychology and turn it into load factor. That's why I guess it's a forced move. But it would be interesting to read why.
Surprising is that full Y tickets do not give any additional amount of points. For me it would make things much more complicated.
