Changing surname with eurobonus...

It was a wonderful, sunny day. The first of June, 2008, when me and my wife got married

My wife took my surname, and also being a frequent flyer, one of the first things she took care of was sending the correct paperwork to eurobonus STO to get her new EBG-card with the correct surname, and more importantly, changing her surname in the SAS databases so she can fly with her correct surname

Six months later, absolutely NOTHING has happened We have contacted SAS several times to verify that they have all the papers they need, but they just keep saying that these things takes time...

With Malmö Aviation, it took 4 business days to get her new gold card...

Anyone got any experience in changing surname with SAS? This is ridicilous..

It is easy, i must have been lost in the fax or mail. Send them a fax again on 08-797 27 10.

It shouldńt take more than like a week max.

Went well

Any progress SKFP?

I sent a copy of my wife's old and new passport to Eurobonus Stockholm and Czech Airlines two weeks ago. Both accounts have now been changed to her new name. This went much faster than I expected, well done!

On the other hand; I also sent boarding passes for missing partner flights to both airlines (since the SK online form isn't working..) and there is no trace of them yet on SAS while they have been credited on Czech Airlines.

I had the reverse problem - I submitted my name change and points request at the same time (since I had traveled using my new surname) and those posted quickly - the name change got lost in the system.

Since the points had posted I just assumed that given some time the other would follow.....but alas a few weeks ago I finally bit the bullet and rang SAS Norway and after finally navigating the system enough to get connected to a real live person, who was kind enough to put me through to where I actually wanted to be.

Turns out that when I'd sent in my paperwork, they'd put a note on my account stating that I'd sent the request & required documents - but this was never actually done. Thankfully the person I spoke to was able to get it sorted, and my new card arrived today...(unfortunately the whole getting married and moving half-way around the world thing meant that I didn't travel much last year, so it's just the standard basic card )

Beck

Just as an aside - what is with the automated phone system - first it refused to use English, despite how many ways I said "English" (and yes I tried engesk) following the "to conduct this call in English say English" prompt, then after trying another prompt (I have no clue what I was asking for - I speak only a little bit of Norsk at present) - it just told me the web address and hung up....I ended up just picking options at random until I found a real live person to talk to.
