There is an interesting thing to see, which also is shown if you look at the previous months, which is that while the monthly traffic at OSL is stable whether there is holiday or not, does the traffic increase at CPH in the summer months, while it decreases at ARN.

So does this means that the Swedes don't go on holidays abroad?

As always: add BMA to the ARN figures and things will look a bit different.

Not to forget that quite many people fly to/from Stockholm by using Skavsta airport as well...

Well, if ARN is adding Skavsta, then OSL should add Torp (TRF) which is about the same distance away form Oslo as Skavsta is from Stockholm (and which IATA has defined as Oslo) and soon to be Rygge (RYG) which is only 40 minutes from downtown Oslo

.....however these statistics are not about how many people that flies from Stockholm or Oslo, but how many that flies from Arlanda and Gardermoen

So why can't we have long haul at OSL?

If it's a question of number of aeroplanes why not relocate the ARN fleet to OSL where there would appear to be more demand?

Because the demand for long-haul is not necessary in proporsion to the total number of passengers travelling through the airport

And that´s why we have more long haul flights in HEL than in OSL and ARN combined. It´s not that the Finnish people would be travelling that much.

What I and SK_RSJ are saying when we comment that BMA and Skavsta also should be considered, is that your conclusions about Swedes not going abroad aren't really correct since the statistics aren't showing the whole picture of travel patterns to/from Stockholm. It's a bit funny when you then say "the statistics aren't about how many people that flies from Stockholm... but how many that flies from Arlanda...". That's exactly what I and SK_RSJ was underlining!

I think you misunderstood my comment: "Swedes doesn't go abroad on holiday" First of all was it a little joke, (hence the ) but also a comment on the figures which shows that ARN has less passengers during the summer, while CPH has a more

But in general do I think we agree

Best proof of that would be AMS.
