Touting MUC as 'new' destination is weird, LH/SK had extensive revenue and codeshare from Germany to Sweden for a while, and when that was ended by the regulators in 2006/7, SK started 2x daily service on MUC-ARN in 2007 which lasted till 2012. Then they went back to some codeshare deal on CPH/ARN/OSL which must have lapsed again, so OSL and ARN SK service resumed, mainly to feed the Transatlantic widebody service.

Add capacity for HAM? Haven't seen that? Bigger planes or added a rotation?

Der bliver ogsĺ flere afgange pĺ helĺrsruterne fra Křbenhavn til Zürich, Geneve, Gdansk og Hamborg.
So there should be more flights to Hamburg.

The islands are indeed within the Kingdom of Denmark, but they are not part of the European Union. Doesn't that mean that there are some ways in which the route is not really a domestic route for some legal purposes? I was pretty sure that there are some ways in which traffic between FAE and Denmark proper shouldn't be considered "domestic" in the way traffic between CPH and Bornholm is. But given the lack of sleep on the flight over last night, who knows.
There is a sort of separatist party on the Islands that wants even more autonomy from Denmark. I'm a fan of it.
Atlantic Airways isn't still a partner of EuroBonus? How many points has SK been charging for those Atlantic Airways flights? 20k EuroBonus points roundtrip, IIRC.

But it would still claim a domestic flight = EB 12.000 return :-)
There is indeed a large Republican party on the Islands - that wants to separate from the Kingdom - but not necessarily all ties.
And yes 20.000 EB is the price with Atlantic Airways - and half price for children ^

The Faroe Islands is not part of EU and not part of Schengen. But is part of the Nordic pass port free zone (whatever is left of it with the constant Swedish murder attempts). But there are some exceptions, e.g. German citizens does not need to bring a passport.

Gas prices are much lower in FAE than in CPH. And whale meat is still on the table there.

For those considering it: if you pick the time of year right, it's a phenomenal place to visit.
Here's my trip report:

1. Just having to show tickets at RKV, and not a passport....
2. But having a good third of the diminutive RKV dedicated to Duty Free shoppping.
3. No customs or immigration upon arrival at FAE.
4. Getting a Schengen exit stamp at FAE upon departure to EDI. (Adding to my odd collection of Schengen stamps received while actually in a non-Schengen area)

Starting to look at the 'new' flight between ARN & MUC and it seems the lonely SK2660 flies from MUC during different times of the day depending on what weekday it is
