SAS PLUS SAVER fare Intra-Europe

I just noticed today that SAS has introduced a new fare - PLUS SAVER.
A non-flexible Plus fare.

I have only looked at Intra-European flights.

Rebooking: 600 DKK/SEK/NOK - 65€
Refund: 600 DKK/SEK/NOK - 65€; cannot be refunded after departure.

I was trying to rebook a PLUS ticket when I noticed this.
It seems that the new SAVER fare is about the same price as the usual PLUS tickets were and the 'new' flexible PLUS tickets seem to have gone up by
~ 300/400 DKK per way.

While attempting to rebook, I also noticed that if I changed one of the legs (in or -outbound) but didn't change the other leg, I was charged about 200-300 DKK extra for the leg that I didn't change (on top of the price difference of the leg that I wanted to change)
- AND my whole ticket was changed to a PLUS SAVER ticket.

Cannot see the Plus Saver yet on any of my usual routes. CPH-ARN shows Go, Plus and Plus Full Flex, HAM-ARN shows Go-light, Go, Plus.

What routes did you check?

Interesting, with that setup on CPH-HAM you cannot even buy a C,D or Z Plus ticket anymore?

But then for a flight in late July CPH-HAM you can get Go light for 879, Go for 1030, Plus Saver for 1093 and Plus for 1455 SEK. So a nobrainer for Plus Saver as long as you don't need more flexibility.

Trying to increase Plus revenue over the summer, or a test balloon for something permanent?

SAS has a revenue problem looking at the last financial statement, so they decided to increase prices for Plus tickets. Easier to implement as a product change than a straight price increase. Also there will be additional revenue from rebooking Plus Saver tickets. Plus was just too flexible for the price.

Or they are trying to milk the premium leisure market. Like LH started doing a few months ago, offering regional C fares for 3xx €.

I would bet that there was an article about this at check-in.dk this morning, but it is no longer to be found. The article also stated that there will be no addition point earnings in PLUS-saver ticket, which I understood as "same earning as in GO". But perhaps the article was wrong? How could they implement that if they use the same booking classes as for the other PLUS tickets?

I tried a few dummy bookings yesterday with the new fare.
It told me I would earn the usual PLUS points (the box bottom right).

This is good. The usual in the lower bracket? Which is probably what they meant in this article that was taken off.
