Plusgrade is no longer in use by SAS. They run their own bid process as of February 2nd 2022.

These are the new terms and conditions: https://www.flysas.com/travel/upgrad...rade-tc-en.pdf.

As a major change to the flow, successful bids no longer earn points from the upgraded booking class, but gets a fixed number of additional points depending on the regions of the flight:

Within and between Sweden, Denmark (incl The Faeroe Islands), Norway, Finland, Estonia, and Latvia
  • SAS Go to SAS Plus: 250 Basispoints
To, from, and within other European countries:
  • SAS Go to SAS Plus: 500 Basispoints
To and from Asia and the US:
  • SAS Go to SAS Plus: 1500 Basispoints
  • SAS Plus to SAS Business: 1500 Basispoints
  • SAS Go to SAS Business: 3000 Basispoints

To start building datapoints.

EBD - BRU-CPH; min bid 5000, bid and accepted at check-in open. You could adjust up until that time which is an improvement over old system.

New data point: Bid of 250 euro - OSL - FRA, declined 24hs before departure (with 9 (!) seats still available).

Curious if I can do a cash upgrade at the airport?

250 EUR for European short-haul was rejected? Seems very expensive??? I usually did not pay more than 500DKK - did not consider anything more expensive, worth the money... granted that OSL-FRA is a bit longer than I usually do, but not excessively so.

Not sure if a couple of cold cuts really qualify as a meal.

BRU-OSl, min bid NOK490 or 5000 points.

If EBD, that's 490 for a salad + 500 additional points. Hard pass when seat blocking already in place.

Yes the price looks familiar, but it used to be for a salad and almost 1800 points.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but does upgrading with EB points still exist?

Yes, you can upgrade with points or bid with points.

There is the option to upgrade at the airport:

https://www.flysas.com/en/travel-info/onboard/upgrades/

And in advance: (its hidden in the *A upgrades)

Question

Any idea of the minimum bid on EWR-OSL under the new regime, both to Plus and Business?

Does a successful bid reticket into a new fare class (and does it depend on if the bid is made with $ or points)? Asking with respect to PQP accrual on United.
