SAS "Hotline" hours

In the old days this line was open 24 hours and staffed by Danes. And they were often helpful and knowledgeable, probably as long as there was no indication that you were Swedish.

I tried calling and it was just after 19:00 CET and I got a message in Danish that it was closed. I didn't select the option for English. So, now to get 24 hour service you have to select the English option and you will be connected to Estonia (or wherever)? I called the US 800 number instead and waited a long time.

It's supposed to be available for C class and Y class pax, but it only prompts you for a Eurobonus number. Does an EBG also get a message in Danish that the office is closed after 19:00?

No, I've called as EBG a couple of weeks ago late evening and they answered. I had to rebook a ticket urgently and I think the call was answered from Sweden.

Is the link that I provided outdated?

This is really bad. Other "small" airlines Swiss and Air NZ have 24 hour service.

I suppose you can call the US 800 number until midnight CET. It's free using Skype. 1-800-221-2350.

I'm sure you can find various pages hidden deep inside, but clicking 'contact' on sas.dk or looking in sassalesinfo both say new things I mentioned above.

Last few occasions I've tried EBG hotline "after-hours", after entering my EB number I've got a message "your call can be answered by our agents in Sweden or Norway, please wait" and longest I was quoted 32 minutes to wait.

I tried calling yesterday, but it refused to accept my EB-number and promptly diconnected me instead of giving me a second chance to enter it. Tried it 5 times before I gave up and called elsewhere.

If you are EBG or EBP our office in Tallinn will help you if you call us after our opening hours.

Good to know. A question a bit off topic is why SAS has an office in Tallinn, when it's not an SAS destination since a about two years ago?

Besides weekends, you can also just call SAS in e.g. Thailand, Australia etc if they are closed in Scandinavia.

Its seems the DK call center is shrinking and shrinking.. A google search discovered this blast from the past: http://www.eurofound.europa.eu/eiro/...dk0402102n.htm
