Just wanted to say that:
- I was matched to Goldpointsplus/Club Carlson Gold last year already.
- As I renewed my EBG this year, but was probably going to be short of a couple of nights to renew Club Carlson Gold I asked (norwegian email) for my status to be renewed based on the fact that my EBG was.
- Took a couple of hours before I got it confirmed by email
- Received the card last week, so about 6 weeks after the last email.
Good stuff.

Club Carlson Status Match
Make sure to write in any of the Scandinavian languages.
I sent mine to Club Carlson Memberservice en english first and it is then answered from US member service. They refused to match.
After trying again in Norwegian it was all fixed, so probably its only "Rezidor" who does the match...

For me at least the CC Gold Elite card seem to guarantee upgrades, last week (at a rather bleak) Radisson Blu in Trondheim I was upgrades from a busibess class room to a nice two floor JR. suite
When my original booking is for a business class room, I am 5 for 5 on upgrades to at least JR. suites ^

Gold-bonus results in a fairly decent earning rate even if converted to Eurobonus. Assuming 250 USD a night, which translates to 5000 Club Carlson points, which is 7500 with the 50% multiplier, and a conversion rate of 18,000 miles per 100,000 points, we get 1350 miles a night. Beats the 500 miles you get if booked directly.
Of course, the rate is often higher, especially if you include meals.
(Even the loweset conversion rate of 250/2000 results in 937.5 miles).

Just to inform my experience to the collection of the others.
I asked for a status match via mail and got a OK reply back within 24h that all is OK and my current account would be updated.
So looking forward to see what the experience will be next week at the Radisson in Lyon - if there is any difference :-)
But the customer service experience was flawless and efficient ^

My CC Gold Elite card expired at the end of February, as I ended 4 stays short of requalifying. So I sent an email to [email protected] in Norwegian and got a reply in Swedish 36 hours later reinstating me to Gold.
So CC has now status matched my EBG card twice ^^

It seems owning 200 shares of Rezidor will also get you CC gold

Was matched to CC Gold from my EBG.
Wrote in English and used the [email protected] for the match. No problems and my account is already updated.
