I am doing a School Project for SFO and I want to know any bad or good experiences with United Airlines at SFO. Experiences with Customer Service Agent, Supervisor, or Manager at Lobby or Gates or Customer Service Area for anything....

The service level has materially degraded since 3/3 at SFO, since the downgrade of the computer system.
CS lines are longer, counter and club transactions take much longer, etc.
The club also routinely runs out of Milanos.

- Club appearance is poor -- why the plastic cups and plates?
- SFO itself is pretty good. I don't like that GS/1st can cut in front of the 1K/Plat/J pax in the TSA line (sometimes there are enough GS/1st to really clog up the other line).
- The walk from the end of T1 to the end of the international terminal can be too long for comfort.
- UA staff is variable -- I've had some very good and very so-so experiences there.
That is all.
It's frustrating that one has to either go outside security, or wait for a crowded gate-to-gate shuttle, to get between the terminals.
For military/veteran travelers using the USO, the fact that the USO is outside security is annoying (much prefer DEN's location) but on the flip side it's open 24 hours so saves on hotels for airport overnights.

We hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?
Of course! I shall be delighted to complete your school assignment for you.
Persn'lly I find the service at SFO to be charming, although somewhat whimsical. My favorite part is that the luggage carts are always shiny, perhaps because of the hard working ethos of the small army of dedicated cart-polishers they employ at this fine airport. For the many, many travellers who's bags have no integrated wheels the availability of such fine and well maintained mechanical aids must be a great relief.
Adding to the general comfort and relaxed nature of the airport is the surprising lack of noise. As I'm sure you know, after the pushing-and-shoving riots of 1989 SFO was limited to only two flights per airline per day. That has almost eliminated jet engine noise from the airport, a marvelous innovation! I hear that in a fit of jealousy JFK briefly experimented with accepting no flights per day recently, but this was not a total success.
I always look forward to my travels through SFO. On many occasions I have given out certificates of appreciation to those special employees who make my journey the most magical. These specially printed certificates are lovingly embellished with the likenesses of dead US presidents to show my patriotism. I find that they are most often handed over to the proud men and women, who stand around all day no matter how inconvenient that must be to their own personal lives, handing out refreshing liquids to anyone who asks!
Perhaps next time I go to SFO I shall meet you there! I certainly hope so!
Yours in humility,
