I'm still at five but you can bet I'll be watching it a lot more closely now
Still at 5 as well, but we have been watching much more closely since they started slipping in the 0 point click thrus and the "you recently received this offer and thought we'd remind you again" or some other crud...
Figure some kind of change is inevitable and the 1 point per click-thru could easily be a test of X number of accounts to see if click-thrus are reduced significantly. So, for those getting the 1 point emails, maybe you could trash them for the good of the community?

I have received exactly ONE single-point e-mail. Hardly seems like a "trend."
In a way, I was glad to receive the one-point increment, as it moved my total to a multiple of 5. So much nicer to have my total end in "5" or "0" than in "4" or "9."
I started noticing the 0 point offers this year as well. I just delete those and click thru for the 5 points. The points came in handy this year when I needed a new lawn mower only available at Home Depot. $50 gift card was very useful and arrived within a couple of weeks. Not too bad for something mindless I do while watching tv.
I am new to Inboxemails. How do you know that they are 0 points prior to opening the attachment? Is it because although it says that it is a Paid Email it does not mention the earning of points on the initial e mail?
I read the earned points tab and it appears that I have opened a lot of paid e mails that do not give me any points.
Most of the points offered are if I sign up and purchase what is offered.

Thanks.
It should be obvious simply from reading the e-mail how many points you will get, as well as what kind of action(s) you must take to earn them.
I don't know what you mean by "prior to opening the attachment."
Also, you do NOT earn points simply by "opening" e-mails. You have to CLICK on a target in the e-mail, which then takes you to a web page.

I've also only received that one email for one point. Others have been either 5 or 0.
Same here. What's slightly annoying is that my total is now something other than a 5-point increment. What's even more annoying, as others have noted, is the dramatic increase in the amount of non-point-earning e-mails. I'm about 500 points shy of being able to cash in for miles again, and then I think I'll take a break for a while.
Since we're discussing annoying - my "available" balance is about 600 less than the balance. Since all I ever do is respond to pass through emails how can the "available" balance not be real time?
I've thought about that and just skip the surveys altogether. I've decided that clicking on the link isn't that onerous, so I keep doing it. But if they dropped the point values to one point, I'd be looking elsewhere.

On the surveys, indicate that you work for an advertising or market research company and it will DQ you for a quick ten points. I agree that the number of zero pointers has been on the uptick but have not seen any for a single point.
I wasn't aware you didn't get five points for the 'we thought we'd give you another chance' e-mails because the box with the links says get five points for clicking on this offer. I've never checked on the click thrus but if that's the case, I'm done with those as well.
