Okay, so I went back quite a few pages, but didn't see this question anywhere. I'm sure it's already been answered, but I couldn't find it, so my apologies in advance.
We all know you can't redeem more than 4,100 miles (I believe that's the cumulative maximum) on an airline account. However, I have 2 questions.
Can you redeem those miles on more than one account on the same airline? For instance, my account and my brother's account?
Also, can you redeem those miles on more two accounts on two different airlines? My AA account and my United account?
Thanks a lot in advance.
-Amy
No to both questions. In the past, you could do it, but no longer.
Apparently M$, since they have licenses to print money from other ventures, couldn't care less anymore about Club Bing usage to pad their search numbers.
Can anyone comment on the time it's currently taking to receive regular prizes? Just started earning tickets again, and I'm ordering a few things (mostly xbox and windows games, etc). I see where some said about 1mo earlier this summer, but also up to 3 months.
Any hope for Christmas? Or SOL? I have only ever redeemed about 5K worth of FF miles spring/summer 2008 on 2 accounts, so I'm not a heavy redeemer.
- Miles requested in early Jan didn't post until late March
- XBOX 360 ordered in mid March (20th or so) arrived less than a month later, on the American April Fools Day of all things (April 15th)
- Orders placed in late April, all the way to the end of June did not appear until Late August for me (all at once). So, we're talking 4 months. I have a feeling it had something to do with the 'Club Live' to 'Club Bing' switch.
- Orders placed anytime since August have been arriving in about 3 weeks now. Though I've got to say some of the boxes/packaging look like they've returned from 4 tour of duty's in Iraq or something.
At any rate, I'm confident if you order now you will get your stuff by Christmas.

Right now hardware items are shipping almost exactly a month after ordering. If it goes more than a month and a week (including shipping) your odds of them showing up are quite diminished. Elsewhere I have seen speculation that if you use more than one account to order to the same household it could result in not getting your items. The actual circumstances are not clear, so as usual with Bing, YMWV.
I've been redeeming as I go on one account, and saving for a Zune on the other account. If I manage to get enough points for the zune, I'll probably attempt to have it shipped to a relatives house, even though I wouldn't be breaking the "one of each item per household rule".
Anyone else having trouble linking for Picture This?
I had it down pretty well, and was linking up well the last couple of days. Now this morning, I've refreshed my open play windows about 50 times and they haven't linked once yet.
Another double ticket day in the works. I wonder if they're trying to get more action on the site. They should just rescind the one ff prize per person and I'll bet their numbers would go way up!!

Agreed.
As would getting rid of that 'giving your Social Security Number to redeem tickets condition' also help.
+1 I'd be on there everyday. It looks like they are going for the young crowd who want gadgets as prizes which is stupid because I bet it costs a lot less to do miles prizes than to ship a physical prize.
I did some redemptions in Aug because of the US Grand Slam promo and I was not asked for a SS#. I still don't know if we will get them because we have gotten awards to the US accounts before but should know by end of Oct. We used new Bing accounts with no previous redemptions.

Wow, just got back into this after quite a bit of time off. Is Picture This generally the best game now for lots of points fast?

It's a good way to finish off two accounts at the same time. However, I will admit I have switched to the "dark side" if you will. I only do three accounts, but when Live/Bing outright STOLE 63,300 legitimately-earned tickets from me, I don't feel bad about it at all (multiple redemptions for 2500 miles during the change in TOS. No correspondence, no returned tickets and NO miles).
Speaking of multiple accounts. I've tossed around the idea of making a second/third FF account with the exact same info as my root account. AA used to consolidate accounts as long as the information on the accounts was exactly the same. I know it sounds like a pain, but I'm really just spitballing to get a few more miles out of this program before it goes <poof> and the prizes really don't interest me too much anymore.

New redemption policy does not allow you to redeem more than 4100 miles
"For airline miles your household may receive no more than one of each quantity of airline miles that is offered in the prize mall (for example, your household may order one of each of the following, when offered in the prize mall: 100 airline miles; 500 airline miles; 1000 airline miles and 2500 airline miles)".
It means, one can redeem/ claim only up to 4100 miles in total. This is ridiculous. None of their other prices have a good value for the time spent playing. What is the use of 4100 miles when you can not accumulate enough to redeem for a flight. I don't understand why microsoft has changed the policies regarding miles reward. It surely is a great disappointment for me.
Last year I was able to redeem enough tickets to deposit miles into my delta account in 2500 increments to by a domestic flight. But the recent policy change does not allow me to redeem miles in 2500 and 1000 miles. I have already tried redeeming but it does not allow me to do so saying that "You have already ordered this prize. Per the Club Bing Terms & Conditions, each household may receive a maximum quantity of 1 of each prize item.

Reason: wrong title

Welcome to FT, gurupado1. Unfortunately, this policy is not new at all. It has been reported many, many times in this thread. Enforcement, however, has been improved in the past few months.
