I'm happy to say that I've had several 2500 AA mile rewards post in the last month. These were all on a pre-existing LSC account that had gotten 2500 AA mile rewards in the past and went to a single AA account that had received LSC miles in the past. At this point, I've seen it all - miles awarded, miles cancelled but tickets refunded, miles cancelled and tickets not refunded AND miles awarded after being told they would be cancelled with tickets still refunded.
My strategy lately has been to wait until "Redeem Now" has appeared under a reward in My Wish List. I'm not racking up as many miles as in the past, but many of them seem to be going through at that pace.
Thanks for the idea to wait until "Redeem Now" appears. I will wait for that.
And STXLisa, welcome to FlyerTalk.
Just want to report I got my zune yesterday that I ordered on 3/16/09 so it came much quicker than the 8-12 weeks stated. The zune turned out to be the "academic edition" whatever that means.
Wow... my wife ordered her Zune on the exact same day as you... and received it the same day you got yours. What a coincidence!
At any rate, being that we've now ordered an xbox and a zune, and cables, and controllers, and vista.... we're burning our tickets now... this '1 prize type per household' kind of sucks.
Keeping 1 account full of points so that 'just in case' they allow multiple redemptions (or a new airline mile category) we'll be able to use it, in the meantime the other account just keeps buying stuff.
Why do we keep playing?
Using 'picture this' it doesn't take more than 25 minutes to rack up 2000 points (1000 per account).
A word of warning about the XBOX. I'm told by a serious gamer that these particular 20GB systems could very likely be part of the defective-right-off-the-line XBOX systems. I'm not going to risk 55k tickets on the XBOX if I can buy one for much less cast-to-ticket value. It's a wikipedia link, but it tells all about the infamous "Red Ring Of Death". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_36...nical_problems
Hopefully you get a good one....and soon!

I don't see how this is possible unless you get lucky and get each other as a partner. Each round goes a couple minutes and even if you're lucky you'll get 20-30 points per game.
Care to explain how? We'd all love to know. Me especially because I seem to get paired up with the stoners/morons.

I'm certain he's talking about you controlling both sides. You can earn 40 points per round and once you have the max number, the next round will start (I believe it's max 2mins per round otherwise). Not sure if that was down to my specific settings, but IE also loaded everything a lot faster for me then FF.

I actually just got the XBox. I'm not a 'serious' gamer, although I do enjoy some game, but for me I just wanted a media center capable of playing HD Video. My old Xbox just doesn't have the processing power for those 720p and 1080i videos. Nonetheless, I did order the 2 games available, no clue whether they're good.
As far as defective Xboxes go. The unit appears brand new. It's hard for me to believe that Microsoft would schluff off their defective stock through any avenue if they've already pulled the units and extended the warranties for them. Even if this Xbox wasn't sold for 'cash' it was still sold to a customer, and entitled to full warranty as would any other Xbox. Thing comes with the warranty card as well.
That said, the Xbox did have physical damage when it arrived -- the 'USB door' was broken off. Doesn't affect the functionality, only cosmetic, nonetheless lsc support was very helpful and has said they're sending a UPS shipping label, and once they receive the broken unit they'll send out a brand new one.
Also, I don't really place a huge value on the tickets any more in that they're quick to earn.

freakazoid is absolutely correct.
It doesn't take much effort to pair up with your other account when you have two browsers opened. Since each correct match increments the amount of points you score per match (up to 9), getting to 100 points (the max per game which awards 40 tickets) takes about 45 seconds to 1 minute. 1000 tickets per day / 40 tickets per game means you need to play 25 games. Being they take at most 1 minute, you're done in at most 25 minutes. Since you're playing 2 accounts, you're actually earning 80 tickets per game (2000 per day).
Nice thing about this, is I do not believe you're violating LSC's T&C's (or it's very 'gray' in the least) unlike the folks who are running those Chictionary bots, plus you're done a lot faster.

How is that possible? The pairings are random, I thought. Aren't the chances that you'd match up with your other account very slim? How long does it take you to successfully match up with your other account (before you start earning tickets with it)?
Btw, don't get me wring -- I believe you -- I'm just trying to figure out how I can do this for myself too.

Yes, the pairings are random. But, not everyone playing is 'awaiting to be paired', some are already 'paired'.
It does take a couple minutes at times, and of course your best success comes in off hours when there are very few people in that game. Just note you don't have to close the 'pop up' window the game is in. Just have both pop ups for each player side by side, and then in their respective main windows (i.e. the window that spawned the game window), keep clicking the 'play now' (what spawns the game window) button, and at near the same time so that both game windows say 'looking for partner' (or whatever it says) at the same time. If it says 'partner found' and both windows have the same query then you know you've found yourself. If the queries are different, keep clicking the 'play now' button from the main window.
It doesn't take more than 5 minutes to pair up with yourself by doing this, and as mentioned, if you play in off hours, you pair up with yourself pretty much on the first try.
My AA account is still missing 3 redemptions that were removed from my account. No notification. REALLY ticks me off.
Plus, the missing December redemptions received this response when they finally got back to me today:
The Live Search Club identifies account(s) where multiple orders are placed for the same prize to the same household and/or where members are using more than one Windows Live ID to avoid restrictions or other limitations on Activities, tickets, prizes or the Program. These types of activities violate our Terms and Conditions and result in cancellations of prize orders.
Needless to say the tickets were NOT refunded. I did reply and state that per their own employees notifications airline miles had previously been exempt from the 'one per' rule, and I redeemed on that basis. I also requested all cancelled orders be refunded to my account, but I'm sure He** will freeze over before I ever see the tickets again. So I am DONE with this mess unless they start coming up with some better mid-level prizes.

I got the Xbox 360 back in October-- it was one of the original models, and it appeared new in box, but had a manufacturing date from 2006--(my guess is that once the updated models were released they got a slew of unsold old models back or had a bunch of old models still in inventory).
In any event, when I registered it online I was only given a 30 day full warranty, I looked into the process with MS for how to get them to recognize that this was the first time this unit had been used, but they wanted a receipt, I explained it was a prize, and I did not have a receipt, but they said I'm SOL.
Last week my unit went E 74 (recognized by MS now, as a hardware error similar to the RROD) and they are repairing it under the 3 year RROD extension at no charge to me.
Take away is... even if you do end up with an old model like I did, you'll still get support from MS if it goes E74 or RROD, so don't worry.
Dumped my points today for the cheap binoculars. Seemed to remember something about the Live Search Club Toolbar earned points ending about the end of April. So I figured that the whole shebang might be winding down. And I had already redeemed for as many miles as I could. (total came out to about 30K miles over the life of the games.)
