Very good point about redeeming for the 1,000 mile increments. I never thought about it that way. We can't ever tell when a good thing might go bad. Hope it doesn't anytime soon.

The airline mile redemption disappears every few weeks (but so far comes back). The result of the disappearances are always posts panicking about "are the miles gone for good".

It's a Delta Thursday (another 2,500 miles). Delta's a little more unpredictable than AA but it's nice to sometimes get miles on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from LSC.

Redeeming for 1,000 miles

I redeem when I get enough points for 1,000 miles for one basic reason. I am not very good at delayed gratification and 1,000 miles is about as long as I can wait before redeeming. I have redeemed for 2,500 but it just isn't as much fun for me.

1,800 points for 1,000 miles is not quite the best value, but it isn't much worse than the best, and I can get it more frequently. So, that is what works for me. And I really can't complain - doing it that way I have earned 53,000 miles so far through live search, and I started in mid-January of this year. Since that is more than enough miles to go round trip to/from Europe, I am very happy with the program. I assume it will end, but each 1,000 miles I earn is another 1,000 miles for travel.

I did not know this. Thanks for that tip so I don't panic.

Unfortunately, all good things do come to ends - I just hope it's well after the FT contingent runs out of all the easy ways to get miles through LSC.

Just a reference on Midwest Miles -

Each order I have placed has taken between 13 to 15 days. I assume part of it may be the time in the evening I place the order - possibly before or after a cut-time.

All have been received and posted properly to my account EXCEPT -

DO NOT PLACE MULTIPLE ORDERS IN ONE DAY. I did this two times at the very beginning. Only one order on each day was fulfilled by their fulfillment company. I wrote, explained, etc. and all they said (finally) was that the fulfillment company said they placed both orders in my account so there was nothing they could do about it. Luckily it was only a 100 & an 1000 mile order.

However, this program has worked great for me and I have earned over 20,000 miles since starting it in mid-June. I play Flexicon 90% of the time. I did hit the out of puzzle message one night, however, it was available within 1 or 2 days with new puzzles for me.

And just a Chicktionary (sp?) question - how are you guys doing these in 1.5 hours? I don't really want to search thru all 125 pages !!! - is there a 'fill' program that is putting the words in so you don't have to type them? I love the Flexicon, however, if I can pump up a couple of days a week with a full 1000 points on the word games in an hour and a half that would be great.

There isn't a "fill" program to my knowledge, and that would trip the bot-stoppers anyway (at least on Flexicon, which is the only game I play. Is there a bot-stopper on Chicktionary?)

However, there is at least one website which will ask you for the letters or a clue or something, and then give you all the answers to the puzzle. You still have to type them in yourself.

I can't link to it because I don't know what it is. I've been told it exists by someone I have no reason to doubt. Google should find it, if you really want it.

What I want to do is regularly redeem one Live Search account for one airline and a second Live Search account for a different airline. I couldn't find a specific example of this in this thread, but then it's hard to find an answer among the hundreds of pages.

I've got my girlfriend playing the games during the day while I work.
I've used four different accounts to deposit into one FF account, and it worked for me so far

Any anagram site should work, but I usually use www.anagramssolved.com, it has answers to most of the games.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Between maxing out Chicktionary, Spelling Bee, and now going through Word Slugger, I do some puzzles completely without assistance - patterns of characters make too much sense. For example, "A","E","T" becomes ate, eat, eta, tea, while "A","E","I","N","T" becomes entia, tinea, tenia...

There is a "Scrabble Solver" online I use when I need a bit of help.
