3% Cash Back on Airline Tickets (via Priceline and FatWallet)

Subscribe
I usually book my airline tickets directly through airline websites to avoid booking fees, but earlier this week I ran into a situation where I could not get a fare on United.com (aka, .bomb) but could get it through other travel sites. I then remembered that Priceline is having a "Summer Flight Sale" where they are waiving the usual booking fees. Then of course you can go through FatWallet and get 3% cash back on Priceline purchases, so in effect you get 3% back on airline tickets. Given the lack of online booking bonuses from many airlines these days, I thought this was a pretty hot deal. Of course, for more expensive tickets, this is still probably a better deal than online booking bonusues.

And if you don't want Priceline tickets, you can still (or could recently) get 2.4% cash back through fatwallet using Expedia, and smaller amounts using Travelocity or Orbitz. Works for cars and hotels as well as airlines.

And 3% for Hotwire, too.

Or get $2 per ticket on united.com through ebates.

By all means try this, but I found it didn't work for me earlier because Priceline was offering a much more limited selection of flights than expedia or united.com.

I hope it works out for you. I normally book on aa.com, but the discount economy bonus is down to 500 miles. I thought I would try PL since shopathome was offering it as a special site and were giving triple their normal 3 percent rebate. I am still waiting.......

An update:

Shopathome says I am not entitled to any rebate.
Note.. They changed the restrictions and then claim they didn't
