Redbox Free Rental Codes [Master Thread]
 

They just opened a Redbox near my house (www.redbox.com). I didn't know whom else may have them, but I figured I would post this anyway. Normally, rentals at teh Redbox are $1 a day. However, if you enter the code BREAKROOM at check out, you get one day free. Another great thing is that the promo is tied to to your credit card (which you swipe before checkout). So I have used this with my 5 different cards for free rentals.

We have had them here in MSP for like 1 1/2 years and there used to be a TON of codes like FREE, DVD, Cheeseburger, Hamburger, JOHN, and many more all were tied to a credit card. So I had like 50 free rentals.

The best one ever was "Supersize Me" (you know the one that shows how bad eating Mcdonalds everyday is.)

You can always find the most recent RedBox codes at http://www.insideredbox.com/codes/ . Like most people I carry multiple credit cards, I've found that I can use the same code multiple times, i.e. at least once per credit card.

Also, if you sign up for text message alerts, you'll get a free code on Mondays. I've received one every Monday for the past couple months. They are only good for that day though. Insideredbox.com has a wealth of codes. And, yes, codes are good one time per credit card (pre-paid cards don't work as often).

i've gotten 5 or 6 pre-paid card rebates this year and i've used all of them for free rentals (DVDONME).

Provided the prepaid card can be authorized for $1.00 (or $1.08 including tax) for each free rental, the codes will work just fine with a prepaid card.

Note to all - use the promo code REDBOX with each card that you use for the first time. Once you rent with a card, unless it is on the first rental, the code REDBOX cannot be used again.

There aren't any new codes, only new cards. ;)

Keep churning those CCs and for every CC you get you can use one time:

plus the one code they'll email you when you use your newly churned card with one of the promo codes (make sure you use a new email address for each CC).

What do you mean by new cc's? Are the codes only good once per credit card?

Yep. Let's say you're churning Citi AA cards and you just got your 2 cards for this 60 day period.

Take card 1, use the 3 codes listed above (there may be more if you have certain grocery stores, we have none just a local Walgreens, so check insideredbox.com) to get your free movies, return and set aside card when done. Redbox seems to track use of codes with CC#.

You'll get one more free code if you give them an email address with each card, so use a new email address for each card as well.

It's a lather, rinse, repeat deal, that doesn't work for anyone who just has a debit card or a credit card or two (except for the one-time use), but works exceptionally well for churners.

Assume that if I carry six cards (not churned) it is still good to go. This is a great tip; thanks!
