BB, that's only part of the problem IMHO. Many people incl. me had built up an acct. to (near) 630 thru March/ early April only to have the 2K PCs run out Mon. April 13! So now they have restocked & 1000s of members are expected to pounce, because like April 13, today is also Monday--start of a new week !
BTW, I had only enough codes to reach 613 last night. I was lucky that a bonus of 20 points had just posted to put me at 633!
BUT Brendan -- STILL ONLY 1 of EACH per account PER LIFETIME -- now
So the smarty-pants have to cheat or game the system
to the point everything goes away...
When stuff went so fast, Coke finally figured out that people were NOT buying the products to EARN that many points on their own...
YOU know what Donut-dude is doing and alot have joined in the ranks
of doing the same -- only problem is that these MCR voucher codes are
fully TRACEABLE -- they're special to the MCR program... that's WHY
they all begin with either 3270 or 3271 and have the 4 -- 9999
embedded in the codes -- these are issued ONLY to Coke....
and are NOT the same as voucher codes for actual hotel stays....
Coke corporate security is already working with IH security to gather info
on WHO has been claioming multiple voucher codes from the program in
violation of the MCR rules....
Haven't you noticed that while you're posting product codes the program
kicks you out right in the middle of things alot of times?
Just a matter of time, like the airlines that caught up to a lot of cheaters
before a bunch of people are surprised with the total loss of their
PC point accumulations....
Watch the moaning & groaning coming soon & far worse than now....
I know people will say that their family or froiends blah blah blah "gave"
them to vouchers.... b;lah blah blah ... the same baloney they told the
airlines when their airmiles was taken away for flagrant program fraud.
Point is ALL these sales gimmicks and promotions SUCK. They want you to BUY but they don't want you to get ahead or get anything really worth much. WHY do you think they got rid of valuable stuff over 2,000 points ?

but isn't the issue once they arrive in PC account is "does it violate PC rules or T&C's?"
PC probably doesn't care to pi$$ of some of its best customers over a relatively small (point wise to PC I mean) number of points
I don't think that PC will do that; just my call PC has more to lose by taking the points for something that is not violating the PC terms and conditions.
IMHO MCR has to catch these before they are deposited to have any effect
I'm not so sure you are right about this (boldfaced)
finally what happens when the PC balance is already burned to zero? what is the recourse then? Please don't say some sort of civil litigation or something ridiculous like that
There is really nothing left of even marginal value in this dog of a program. I've stopped collecting caps....and stopped buying Coke products. Used to buy whatever bottled water I spotted first.....now avoid Dasani unless no other choice.

Pay with Miles and three award tiers.....did you realize that your SkyMiles were just devalued...again?
man, i haven't been on here in ages but i was lucky to rake in a bunch more of the 2Ks and 500s before they ran out. I do think there are more five hundreds out there but I need to reload
better grab them while they are avail
this program is listing bad and its just a matter of time before its completely submerged

While I too have been disappointed in how Coke has devalued the program and am no longer the cap wh@re I was a year or two ago, these changes haven't made me anti-coke. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't feel like Coke owes me anything. I'm not a Pepsi guy, I'm going to drink Coke one way or the other, even if I don't get a ton back from them, isn't something better than nothing? Over the course of the MCR program, I've probably earned over $500 worth of movie tickets--that's a lot of free movies. So yes the program is a shadow of its former self, but we all didn't really think it would live forever did we?

Has anyone redeemed for the Airtran discount yet? I am curious if it works as a straight discount of if I have to book in an inflated fare class or pay a phone fee to use it.

Oh no, ancient Atlanta was more than just a Delta hub.
You can use TWO $35 codes if you book your roundtrip as two one way tickets (which cost the same as a roundtrip on AirTran). But if you buy two one way tickets, you will not be able to make use of the AirTran Rewards bonus offers for triple credits (which require that a round-trip ticket be purchased). If you book your journey as a roundtrip, you will be able to use only ONE $35 code.
It is a promo code like the $25 off discount codes that AirTran has handed out to their email subscribers in the past.

my two cents is that either you have a program or you don't, you don't manipulate it from day one by withholding awards, changing prices on everything as often as a barrell of oil changes prices, you shut it down when its done, you don't hang on till the bitter end just because you can
it has the opposite effect; I don't buy coke unless there is a price advantage to buy it. all things equal (price) I'll buy pepsi just because

When it was good, it was very good 60K+ Delta Miles, Hilton points, 40K Priority Club points, but now the capacity controls have pushed me back to buying Pepsi products. I have a few lingering points and no where to spend them.
I have loved this promotion and gotten a lot of things I value, including Delta, Hilton and Holiday Inn points, Delta crown room passes, and assorted other things. Right now, all of the travel rewards I want are gone or I am inelligible for. But this was still a great program. I buy coke anyways, so this was just free stuff.
For everyone who says there is nothing left to get ..... 20 oz free coke coupon for 24 points. Pretty good value and making entering codes still worthwhile.
I know that this will be ending, but I didn't spend one dollar more than I would have on coke .... so thank you coke for a great program .... and if nothing more comes my way, I am ok with that.

I'm with you Mike, this was always just free stuff. TrojanHorse while I certainly understand your point, I guess maybe I came to the program with different expectations? Like I said, I'm definitely sad that the program isn't what it once was, but I have gotten a considerable amount of stuff from Coke over the last couple of years.
Moreover, I always felt like the program doubled as an anti-litter campaign. As I'm sure many of us here did, I picked plenty of caps up off the streets of New Orleans and disposed of them properly. If nothing else it makes me feel a little bit better about myself .

This program has become a fuster cluck. Coke, what were you thinking when you set up a program where half the people don't care and the other half will run around picking up their bottle caps without generating incremental sales? Clearly, ePrize is running this one.

It really hasn't had much effect on my buying patterns one way or the other. I go with what I'm in the mood for.
