According to the website, HH is $25 for 1000 while $50 gets you 3000 HH.

E-rewards is hardly a scam. I recently redeemed 100 dollars for 1,000 NW miles and 3,000 Hilton points. The trick is to not let your dollars expire. You have a full month to use the points subject to expiration. Plus they will often extend the expiration date. Did you even bother to ask for an extension?

You're right, of course, tcook052. I got 3000 HHonors points.

I joined erewards a few years back (can't remember why) but I finally caught a "clue" and really love the program. I have 2 airline programs so I have made deposits into both programs and I get the Hilton Honors points. After reading the threads on this board regarding the expiration date, I sent erewards an e-mail asking them to extend my date. They immediately sent me a general e-mail stating that it's up to the amount of participation and if you fit their panel. About two days later, I received another e-mail inviting me to remain in the program another year.

I don't think it's a scam, I have gotten lots of points and the process is painless. ^

The expiry rule may be annoying but it definitely isn't a scam. So far this year I have redeemed for 2000 AA, 2000 NW, 1000 CO, and 500 US miles (had to do the CO & US miles so the eDollars didn't expire). Since you can only redeem once for each airline that means I can only redeem for delta for the rest of the year but I can save up and get them all again in January. I don't do all the surveys, and qualify for only some so this seems pretty reasonable to me - far better than the survey programs that give you entries into sweepstakes etc.

As with every program, it's not for everyone.

If anyone lacks time or is too lazy to get to know the program, then it is not for you. But, just because it doesn't work for you, I wouldn't call it a scam.

I have been pretty happy with them. I have gotten I forgot how many 3K HHonors redemptions, so no complaints on my part.

It should be under the Review Account Statement link in the My Account section. In the upper right-hand corner, you should see the amount you have to redeem, the amount subject to expiration rules, and the amount expiring on whatever the expiration date is.

NOLA - if it's worth it to you, try writing them a quick note saying asking if they will reinstate the expired currency because you've been a loyal member etc. It worked for me - but rather than making the currency not expire, they will reinstate it after it has expired. I understand your irritation with the program, but I've gotten 2K miles in AA, CO and NW so far this year and halfway to getting 2K on US. It's been worth the hassles for me as a good way to top off miles.

Gotta love the precision of my account summary:

Available to Redeem: 39.800000000000004
Subject to Expiration Rules: 39.800000000000004
Expiring on NOV 01, 2006: 29.85

For those of you without a magnifying glass, that's 39 and eight-tenths and four-quadrillinth dollars.

Is there a better program out there that lets me earn 3,000 HHonors points every 3 months for free? I don't even answer every survey or email and I usually find when I go to redeem my points that I had redeemed my last 3,000 HHonors point award less than 3 months ago and have to wait a little longer ... works out to 12,000 HHonors points per year ...

I, too, have been happy with E-rewards. Have gained thousands of free Honors points and dozens of Blockbuster rentals.
