If they never called it in, and it's still showing in your restaurant.com account, then there is nothing to keep you from using it again ... except good conscience.

I have read several of the posts and see that frequently there are codes available for $25 egift cards for $3. However, in my humble opinion I think the e-gift cards work better because the $3 offers don't always include the higher end restaurants. But e-gift cards can be redeemed for a certificate of equal to the value of the e-gift card at any of the participating restaurants from what I can tell. In addition, I don't usually see deep discounts for the larger amounts like the $50 certificates and higher but you can get the e-gift cards on a number sites fairly cheap.

I see that some have mentioned that E-bay sells a lot of the egift cards but I have also seen them on Amazon and Coupontrade.com I know that Ebay and Amazon have been around quite some time but has anyone used Coupontrade.com that can give an honest opinion?

I have started buying $100 eGift cards. You can use them to convert to any denomination of restaurant specific cert. So if you use a $100 eGift card to get a $25 one, you will have $75 remaining. The $100 eGift cards are the cheapest from a per$ standpoint. Buy them during an 80% off sale for $8 each. That works out to $2 per $25 cert, less than buying four separate $25 eGift cards. I bought three during the last 90% promotion for $4 each.

What? It's the end of the month and I want to buy a certificate. Where's the 80% off code?

I wound up buying a $100 ecard for restaurant.com on ebay for about $6. Worked fine.

BTW, does anyone know how to do a map search on restaurant.com these days? They want you to enter a zip code to search for restaurants. That's fine when you're home or in a major city, but if you're travelling to more remote areas and want to know if there are any participating restaurants, the map feature is MUCH easier. They seem to be hiding this feature now.

I have had the same problem with the missing map. I can't see it on Restaurant.com but can on theidealmeal.com gift redemption site. So if you are redeeming an eGift cert, you can use the map. I posted this issue on another forum and other people said they could still use the map search option, so I thought it was just me.

Looks like RACE is 40% off through May 24.

Is it just me, or are these coupons getting worse and worse?
