(I have a deplorable selection within 15 miles of my house. This program is nearly defunct. I think the Groupons, Living Social, and the like have taken their business.)

Unlike Groupon or LS, you can always return unused certificates for credit.

This is the best price I have seen in years, this is what I have been waiting for, so I will for sure buy at least 20 certificates. ebates has 10% cash back, does anyone know if there is a better portal?

Are you buying 20 $25 certs? If so, why not buy five $100 ones. It gives you more flexibility to redeem for any size certificates without contacting Restaurant.com to have them merge certificates.
That is what I did a while back, had an online chat with customer service and had them merge all of my small value certs in to several $100 ones. Makes keeping track of them a little easier.

I agree, this is rare. This was the norm just a few years back. 70-80% off was not uncommon. The last time they did the 90% off I stocked up on so many that I don't know what to do with them all.

Update: ebates 20% cash back. Also, system did not let me buy more than 19 coupons, so only $190 before discount.

You really don't even need to buy a mix. If you are buying $500 worth, just buy five $100 certs. If you redeem a $100 gift cert for a $25 one, then the gift cert is now worth $75. Of course, this is only if you are buying gift certs. Restaurant specific is different and you would buy what you will use.
