I activated my new card today via the phone. Asked the agent about the $25 bonus. She said it is now until the end of the year. I added the money today, will try to remember to post back up if/when the additional $25 comes in.

I didn't have any problems. I added $25 after my bank account was verify and 7 days later they added the promotion $25 added. I just used the money on the card at store. This way I did not have to worry about fees and used the full amount. You can use it at most retailers or even ordering items on line.
