Netspend charges

I posted this in another thread and have not received a reply.
I'm hoping someone in this thread knows the answer.
I Bought a $400 Netspend visa card with CC.
Nube questions, direct me to Netspend wiki if there is one, I couldn't find it.
If I unload it, should I unload it for $398 as there is a $2 fee?
Does card default to Pay-As-You-Go plan?
No way to select plan when I activated card that I saw.
To avoid account maintenance fee, do you just cancel card after you unload it?
Better to just buy new card than try to reload?
Thanks for the help!

Signature transactions (anything run as credit, instead of debit) are only $1. So, should be able to run a single credit transaction up to $399 without an issue.

It should. But not all do.

You can check which plan you are currently under using the following link. You'll need to be logged in and have added the card number, obviously -

The Pay As You Go plan has no monthly fees or maintenance fees. At least, I've never been charged any in 2+ years. I joined through this Conga.

Here's the queue, so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle -
