Someone used my referral link to sign up on July 14th, thus taking me off the conga list. However, they still have not met the purchase threshold for me to get credit. I am starting to think this person might have thought signing up was sufficient to take me off the list and add themselves on.

What is the protocol for something like this? Thanks!

Be aware that TopCashback referrals don't have a purchase threshold; instead, they have a Payable Cashback threshold. I think it's currently $10.

That is to say that the threshold requires not just a record of the click-through and the purchase, but waiting for the cashback to become payable in the person's account. So it can take a while. TopCashback can sometimes take longer than other sites - or at least that's been my experience. When I went through the queue I think it took me a couple of months to reach $10 in Payable Cashback since I wasn't using TCB as a primary cashback site. So I'm not certain that 6 weeks since the use of your referral is enough time. A lot of merchants can take a lot longer than that to finally pay out.

A lot of merchants also offer different/lower percentages and people may not be making large enough purchases to get $10 Payable even in a couple transactions.

dburns, I saw you referring to me in you post. I had not logged on for a while. Let me CONFIRM that I DID use your referral to sign up. I hope you do realize that when one signs up, not everyone is ready to place a 3-400$ order right away to earn the $10 cashback and for you to receive the referral cash. Further, tcb earned cashback is not even payable for 8+ weeks and that is when you will receive your referral (just like what MClab said).

So, have some patience... you should receive your referral.
