Well, they still haven't given me the miles I redeemed for in January. Rather maddening.

Hopefully April 1 will open it up and clear up the back log for United miles.
Has anyone successfully redeemed with one name on Mypoints account and different name on United?

Yes.

Just remember that once you do that whichever UA account # you used will always be associated with that mypoints account.

The United option is now disappeared from my selection. I'm not very hopeful now

I hope they will put UA miles back up. There is nothing else they offer that I have any interest in. If the discontinue this with no warning, I will consider totally double crossed and defrauded by this organization.

I have problems with the redemption (never receive the certificate)
I emailed them a few times since 2 months ago, but haven't heard anything.
Only the automated response.

Is there another way of contacting them?

edit: Never mind. There's another thread with their phone#. I'll try next week

That is a bit of a stretch, don't you think. They never make any guaranty to what rewards are available or how long they will be available for. There are still some great rewards out there. Perhaps none that you can get as much benefit from as the UA reward, but still some decent rewards.

Looks like the price of UA redemptions has been raised now to 5700 points = 2500 miles and 11100 points = 5000 miles.

Still not working for redemptions, but may be a good sign that these are coming back soon?

Wow. Interesting, I guess it is better than losing the option all together...

Yeah, it looks like about a 10% price increase.

Another anoyance with these people, like their annoying habit of recycling bonus mails that you have not used, only without the 5 points for opening them. That in my book is spam. If I had wanted to follow up on them, I would have the first time. Highly annoying!

Because they know people will be redeeming them for that amount as well.

This would be expected when demand for any given reward is high. If everyone else would stop converting to UA miles, perhaps they will reduce the price and I can load up?

Wink

Remember if an old pre-merger UA# is tied to your Mypoints account, just email Mypoints to give them your new post-merger # !
