Flights to Moscow

This may have been asked before, but why so non stop flights with US flag carriers to Moscow. All I could find was one Delta flight from JFK. Are there any other US flag non stops? Surprised UA doesn't have a nonstop from IAD.

There used to be an IAD-DME flight on UA, but that was canned a couple years ago:

There's always Aeroflot!

Aeroflot's quality is much better than most US/European carriers, and their prices are very reasonable.

A much better choice than any US airline.

Two questions for my Russian flying FT friends about an upcoming MOW C cabin flight. Do I book:

1) Aeroflot direct Or Emirates with a stop?

2) If Aeroflot was $200 cheaper, or $500 or a $1000, how much cheaper would the flight have to be for you to book on Aeroflot over Emirates? (travel time difference is an additional 4 hours on Emirates)

Thank you,
DirtyDan

BKK-MOW? If price is the same I'd fly EK. $500-1000 lower (or lack of time) and SU gets my choice. I don't fly paid C that much though

I would take Aeroflot even if it was the same price.

The business cabin on Emirates is just not that much better than Aeroflot's to justify making a connection and all the risks inherent in that. (Especially if you are checking bags).

UN flies from Moscow to MIA, JFK and LAX.

AA used to go daily ORD to DME but that died about a year after it started.

Until the last 10 months there was a greater likelihood of Russian companies adding service than American companies doing the same.

Everything seems very much status quo now....

I miss both AA's ORD-DME and UA's IAD-DME flights. Both were a great option for flying to Moscow with minimum stops and arriving there early enough to get few things done the same day.

Since I am focusing on *A (not sure for how long) right now I always try to get on LH1444 FRA-DME that arrives around 1:30PM. Would love to hear other options if they exist.
