questions like, what station does it go to in the City............
approx distance (am I on the right side of town to start journey?) to the Marriott Aurora

The train is very convenient to the city center, as well as it will get you there faster a lot of the times. As far as getting to Marriott from Belorusski Train Station - that's a different story. Taxi most likely would be better, especially if you have luggage.

Looking at the map - it's 2 subway stops down on Green line with a short walk afterwards.

Do the train. Much, much less stress and money and so much quicker. Runs every 30 minutes from 6 a.m. to 23.30 from SVO. Take it to Belorusskaya Station which is the very last stop. Then, either walk down Tverskaya towards Red Square (safe, touristy, nice sidewalks) or hop the Subway a few stops. I hike it from the Belorusskaya Station to the Marriott Grand and this weekend to the Marriott Tverskaya which is just across from Belorusskaya Station. Best I can tell you'd take the Metro a few stops to Pushkinskaya and then hoof it from there. Email the hotel to ask which stop is closest. Crossing Tverskaya is only done underground from Belorusskaya to Red Square so make sure you come up on the same side of the street as the hotel is on. If not, no biggie. Just find an underpass and make your way to the proper side.

PM me if I can scout anything out for you this weekend. I'll have time. You're doing the SU flight later this year we were discussing in another forum, yes?

THXs for the info.........
I'll be taking SU from Bangkok, now set for June as we'll be going to Harbin for their ice-festival in Jan and the PI in April, but still waiting on SU to post summer schedule as no flight availability yet posted past 31 March............

If SU keep to their current schedule they'll have 2-flights/day from BKK-SVO on Fridays so grabbing 2 C-tickets shouldn't be that difficult............ already started by booking Marriott Grand (got OK rates) for 7-nights (1-night per res) from 31 May to 6 June................ once I get BKK-SVO settled then I can CXL 3-nights in MOS and start finding Moscow-St Pete flights for a 5-nighter there.............. (then boat to Tallinn and another to Helsinki.... 5 week trip in total)

Google maps provides pretty good service for Moscow. Here is the route from Belorusskaja to the hotel. Looks like the closest stations on the same line are Teatralnaja and Tverskaja.
